Gamers.com, anticipating the release of the Xbox version of the game on December 6th, have written up a <a href=http://www.gamers.com/index.html?run=preview&preview_id=213>preview[/url] of the game. Here's a paragraph of brain-raping wrongness.

Of course, that's the appeal of the KOTOR series: the ability to choose. Just like in the first game, KOTOR II features two branching paths you can take, and how you answer questions and deal with specific situations will determine whether you stay on the light path or fall to the dark side, but that's one of the few old things that were carried over to the sequel. The phrase, "the more things change, the more they stay the same" really doesn't apply, because, while KOTOR II's turn-based combat is roughly the same as in the last game, there's a host of new stuff, starting with the characters.
First off: KOTOR only actually 'branched' at one single point in the game. So, yeah, it does branch, but a tree with only two branches on it isn't much of a tree at all. Second: anyone who says KOTOR's combat is turn based is a muffinhead.
