New race: The Codex

One of the most enigmatic species of the universe.
They have a huge network where they study, work and even mate. It's not clear how exactly they are able to do this outstanding act since all captured codexers were male. Scientists speculate that females may have existed but are now extinct. Some believe they are all clones but since their DNA does not present any kind of deterioration this can't be proved.

One of the few things that we know about them, because they like to brag about this all the time, is the HoloSuite, a special room where they can simulate anything they can possibly imagine. This together with their network creates a virtual world like no one have ever seen.

Great Strategists: By playing repeatedly their own wars on their HoloSuite.
Amazing Leaders: Their experience with a unknown game called RPG (Roll and Pray Game) has turned a bunch of them into natural leaders.
Don't get Close: Their fragile body together with their lack of will to stay in the real world makes them horrible close combat fighters.

Anyone wants to improve this? Feel free to change it entirely if you want.

I've taken liberty to :incline: a bit:

STUDY REPORT #4NDH41R4/b

One of the most enigmatic species of the universe.

Codexers are a bizzare fusion of physical beings and virtual personas, connected with each other by a network spanning over the entire known universe. Their biological functions remain obscure; it is unknown how, or indeed if, they eat or reproduce. It seems most of their kind are male, while others - the most venerated, even worshipped to a point, members feature organs belonging to both sexes. Any attempts to capture a member of this species were in vain - when disconnected from their virtual reality (codenamed 'CODEX'), they immediately degenerate into an unstable pulp that disintegrates quickly.

What we do know, we gained through careful observation. They have a complicated caste system, in which the oldest Codexians connected to the network are the rulers, while both the youngest and 'cloned' personas are nothing more than servants.

One thing stumped our scientist the most, however. Despite being an interconnected hivemind, Codexians are far from creatures of order. In fact, their whole network is constantly ravaged by various factions and individuals vying for power. Even the slightest misunderstanding may trigger a war that can carry on through months.

FINAL ASSESSMENT: Dangerous, three points on the McDrog scale. Need constant monitoring. Warning: any attempts to connect with the 'CODEX' can result in death or even worse fates.

Indeed, I don't know the specifics of how the (dis)advantages are calculated, but I'd give them a penalty to research and a bigger risk revolt, while making them impossible to spy on at all.

Those three are quite possible. On research they could be great at the theory but fail at the execution.
