Adults who try to make a career out of playing video games strike me as so fucking weird.

Games really aren't designed for adults; they're marketed towards kids between the ages of 5 and 18 so it's weird as hell to see so many dudes in their 20s/30s trying to make a career out of gaming. Aren't adults who twitch stream all day for donations basically babysitters? What's it like playing WoW 8 hours per day for a group of kids? How does that effect your mental health to be sitting in a chat room with a nice constant flow of memes and childish emotional outrage all day?

And people who constantly upload gaming videos onto youtube in hopes of getting a following and generating ad revenue? How is slavishly playing shit games all day and trying to pander to 12 year olds any better than sitting in a cubicle and moving excel files? How long can one believe that pokemon is the meaning of life?
