Because you award achievements through what appears to be a hourly cron job that is just checking for the flags of 1000 Brofists and your current Gender. A user can get both the Man Whore and Slut achievement by switching their gender and waiting for the next Cron Job to fire allowing for inflated Kodex Kredits.

This is a very important issue to fix. We don't want inflated Kool Kredits. We are very prestigious Magazine.


(I knew this would be a potential area of concern when I noticed you use cron jobs to apply achievements.. why is this not an event driven system.. is it a plugin for XenForo?)

I assume it's a cron job because of the long delay between meeting the criteria and the actual achievement being given. I guess it could be something else like a SQL trigger or something.. *shrug* loldunno

What do you mean? I would assume each user has a block of memory allocated in the database for boolean style bit shifts for each achievement. They persist which achievements you have already so not sure how you can re earn the same achievement. Do you have an example?

What do you mean? I would assume each user has a block of memory allocated in the database for boolean style bit shifts for each achievement. They persist which achievements you have already so not sure how you can re earn the same achievement. Do you have an example?

That actually surprises me - I wouldn't expect achievements to be removed when you no longer are eligible for it due to brofist loss, although it's a hard edge case to test through normal use of the site.
I mean it has to be a bug as well - or the KKK's would be removed too..

Next time my account is at a message threshold for an achievement.. I might just want to test this by posting / deleting / posting / deleting.
