Are you using AdBlock?
How would you feel if I disabled it?

Must you even ask? Will your solution Jew over people who have Adblock installed, but also paid potato for adfree codex?
Thanks to the ads I'm making $5,716 a week working from home.
Thanks to the $$$ I managed to ban Dildolos without mod/admin rights, learn how!And I've learned why this so-called "health food" is actually the #1 WORST food for weight gain and a leading cause of joint pain, arthritis, diabetes, and heart disease. Thanks to the ads I'm making $5,716 a week working from home.
I never use addblock but fuck some ads can be obnoxious, like the banner literally sliding in the thread sometimes, preventing you from reading the posts, because it stands in the middle of the page.
Adds will also expand purposely on a big chunk of the screen. Are those kind of adds necessary? Can we just have 2 noiseless, fixed pictures in some corner?
Also FFS disable the adds that make noise! There is nothing worse than being in class, at work or in the library and suddenly having one of those adds popping up and starting making noise, like those videos that appear in the corner.
By far the majority of the ads are noiseless and the ratio between animated and non-animated is probably about 50:50. The problem is, the less an ad moves, the less noticeable it is and the fewer clicks it gets. The majority of advertising is pay-per-click, so if all the displayed ads would blend into the background nobody would click them and that wouldn't help us much.
The video ads only show for unregistered/logged out forum users. Log in and you won't see them.
And here I was hoping that just browsing with ads enabled was enough to support the codex . But I must ask, just how many codexian are naive enough to click on one of these?
Why no google ads?
Wouldn't they bring relevant ads? Instead of the weird crap that shows up and nobody will ever click on them.
In alternative to google ads, you guys could make a xenforo script to given a game name, automatically make a link to GOG with a referral? The same for books and movies with links to amazon.
I'd like to see more posts in this thread from people who are actually using adblock.
here one dorito munching cretin.I'd like to see more posts in this thread from people who are actually using adblock.
Oh yeah, thats my priority in life. helping cretins perpetuate shitposting and slurping turds mentality. It's not a matter of naivety, but of helping the codex a little if you're 2 cheap to outright donate. I sometimes click on them when I remember that they need to be clicked.
