The dust has not yet settled after the announcement of shutting down Reality Pump, and now we have to inform about yet another Polish bankruptcy. On the 8th of June, a court in Katowice received an application for bankruptcy from Nicolas Games (developer of i.aAfterfall: InSanity). According to the owners, the bankruptcy comes as a result of a legal dispute with the provider of Unreal Engine 3 – Epic Games.

Someone shared their old achievements. They released Dangerous Waters before Steam on the west. Plus Steel Panthers, War in the Pacific, Battles in Normandy, Battles in Italy and other WWII themed titles for p. good price (20potato ~€5/$6,6) at release, which was part of campaing that promoted buying legit copies of PC games. CDProject was also involved, including new Extra Klasyka titles, for same low price.

Nicolas Games ere known shitstains. They had a distribution deal with Matrix Games and broke the conditions of the deal and flooded Polish supermarkets with 20 potato Matrix Games games like War Plan Orange and War in the Pacific which were then sold in mass on ebay.
Which is why Matrix Games now hates local distribution.
Fuckers should have made localizations and sold the games for 50 potato, not pull off shit like this.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Wasteland 2 Codex USB, 2014 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath
It was obvious since the start. They started with a shit deal with the producer, changed their project from RPG to some kind of adventure game and their founder left.

Ususally I wouldn't kick the old thread to the surface but this case... turns out - it's fucking The Room of the videogames. Which combine Truman Show, Vault experiments from Fallout and M. Night Shimalyan plot twists.
Plus marvelous voice actor (Albert) who reached edge of his sanity.

Make shitty episodic games, go bankrupt. What a surprise.
City Interactive (now CI Games) went well with that strategy. Their shitty FPS titles for $5 were garbage, yet they're still alive.
