What the fuck. Facebook games? I have no idea about them but the best squad based tactics game is Jagged Alliance 2. Then you have X-COM: UFO Defence from 1994 that is still a great game. Silent Storm and the original Jagged Alliance are good solid games as well.

There's all JA games with their expansions. You should buy them all and play through all of it once. Then come back here and find a thread bout the 1.13 mod for JA2.

before facebook, there was this x-men inspired flash strategy game which was cool if you had extensive knowledge about those characters.
then marvel shut it down and its name has been forgotten among the mists of time.
