Tacticular Cancer: We'll have your balls

  1. Having trouble staying logged in? Note: We are rpgcodex.NET not .COM. Trying to login via .com will cause issues. Make sure you are on rpgcodex.net to login and all will be fine.

And if the Password Recovery doesn't work (there was an error transitioning accounts during the upgrade), use the "contact us" link right down the bottom right of the forums and harass us about it. Include your account name and its e-mail address (or whatever parts of it you remember).

"This message is awaiting moderator approval": All new users must pass through our moderation queue before they will be able to post normally. Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

Thought I would make a thread where all of the Arcanum downloads can be centrally located. I think Arcanum deserves its own repository since there are so many downloads, as well as information for these downloads, in terms of what they do, their compatibility, and etc. I'm going to make it so that this thread can be a go-to location for Arcanum downloads, as well as the complete and concise description for those downloads so that fans on this site don't have to go to different corners of the internet just to find a link and/or description. I will continuously add content, improve descriptions, and provide alternative mirrors. If you have any suggestions, notify me.

    Official Content
This is content released by Troika.

Arcanum Demo: For those who want to give the game a try. 1

Arcanum Soundtrack: For those that enjoyed the music in Arcanum, here it is in lossless .WAV format. Amazing. 1

Official Patch (1.0.7.4): The final official patch released by Troika which fixes a lot of bugs. Available for the English, French, and German versions of the game. EN: 1|2 FR: 1|2 DE: 1|2

The Lost Dungeon of Souls: A short dungeon-crawl module that was previously only available on the pre-order version of the game. Quite a challenge to beat. 1

    Unofficial Content
    This is fan-made content.

Unofficial Patch v091225: The final version of the unofficial patch by Drog Black Tooth. YOU MUST HAVE THE FINAL VERSION OF THE OFFICIAL PATCH INSTALLED BEFORE INSTALLING THIS. Fixes hundreds of bugs and errors, as well as turning off sprite mirroring, thus restoring a ton of previously unseen sprites. Also offers an optional restoration of a bunch of items and features, the full list of which can be seen here. 1

The following section contains downloads which are compatible with the Unofficial Patch v091225:

High Resolution Patch v1.1a: Makes the engine fully scalable to any resolution, while maintaining proper proportions. Created by Drog Black Tooth. 1|2

High Quality Townmaps: Replaces the townmaps available in the game with higher quality ones. Created by Drog Black Tooth. 1

Extra Animations Pack: Restores thousands of PC and NPC animations which were not included in the final version of the game. Created by Drog Black Tooth. 1

Magick Restoration Patch v120422: Restores two spells created by Troika that did not make it to the final version of the game. "Poison" which poisons the target creature, causing damage over time (replaces "Harm") and "Repel Flames" which raises the Fire Resistance of the target creature (replaces Agility of Fire). Created by Cloaked Figure. 1

The following section contains downloads which are NOT compatible with the Unofficial Patch v091225:

Car-Arcanum: Total conversion of the original game. Adds a car follower, a DM, as well as making a bunch of other changes and brand new encounters. The writing is sophomoric and the mod is sloppy in general, but it is worth a try for hardcore fans of the game, if only to see an interesting twist of the original campaign. Here is a full description of Car-Arcanum. This mod is no longer being worked on. Created by Chris Beddoes. 1

Forgotten Places of Arcanum 6.0: Total conversion of the original game. Significantly more organized and coherent than Car-Arcanum. Adds tons of new content, such as making Cattan visitable as well as integrating the Vormantown module into the Arcanum one (!!!). Full description and discussion can be found here. This mod is still being worked on. Created by rroyo. 1

    FAQ:

Q: Should I install the unofficial patch if I'm playing the game for the first time?
A: Yes, you should. The unofficial patch does not add any custom content that changes the game in any way. It simply fixes a very large amount of bugs present in the game.

Q: I've downloaded and installed a module independent of the OC. How do I play it?
A: Run Arcanum, and open Options. Choose the module you want and start a New Game.

Q: What is the difference between restored content and custom content?
A: Restored content simply restores features and options that were created by Troika and exist on the game's files, but were not present in the game itself. Custom content on the other hand contains user-made content.

Q: One of your links aren't working! What do I do?
A: Notify me either in this thread or by PM.

    Nice! :bro:

I have a new installation on my new PC sitting, so when I pick the game up again these will sure come to handy - I didn't know there were as a resolution patch for example!

And I didn't know about the extra animations pack, never seen anyone talking about it. Are the changes easily noticeable, or something only a big time fan on his seventh replay would pay attention to?
