Raptors were part of a subgroup of the theropod family of dinosaurs (coelurosauria). Scientific consensus is that modern birds are also descended from that subgroup. That makes birds theropods, and by extension, dinosaurs.

Raptors are not birds. But birds are closely related to raptors.

No, the scientists are wrong. Raptors were already birds, but other birds stole a bunch of shit from them. Trust me, I'm a time traveler. I was just messing around when I started this thread, since I already knew the answer. It's good history lesson though.
