If you are a big fan of the series then you should get it.

If you aren't into Assassin's Creed that much, but you play now and then, there probably isn't much point you picking it up. There's nothing new in terms of gameplay.

If you haven't played any Assassin's Creed games and are looking for a place to start, don't start with this one.

One of my friends who hasn't played any ACs came up to me today and asked if he should buy Unity. I laughed in his face and said no, start at 2. Then Bro. Then 4.

Another remaster announced (Xbox / PS4 only for now).

Assassin's Creed Rogue, Shay Patrick Cormac's Assassin-hunting odyssey through pre-Revolution America and the North Atlantic, is making a gloriously remastered return on PS4 and Xbox One on March 20, complete with 4K support for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

In addition to running in 4K, Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered sports higher-resolution textures and shadows, improved environmental rendering, and new visual effects, making its sprawling wilderness, Arctic icescapes, and bustling version of New York City more striking than ever. The new edition also packs in all of the original's downloadable content and expansions, including two bonus missions – The Armor of Sir Gunn and The Siege of Fort de Sable – as well as the weapons, outfits, and customization items in the Master Templar and Explorer packs. It also includes a new bonus: Bayek's legacy outfit from Assassin's Creed Origins.

Originally released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, Assassin's Creed Rogue mixes traditional on-foot gameplay with naval exploration, letting players captain an ice-breaking ship – the Morrigan – as an Assassin-turned-Templar hunting down his former comrades. Offering a chance to see Assassin's Creed from the Templar side of its millennia-long secret war, the game turns a number of series conventions on their heads, while adding plenty of unique twists of its own.

Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered will arrive for PS4 and Xbox One on March 20.
