Will try the demo when it comes out - don't care about graphics but am glad the terrible portraits are gone, those were a bit of an eye sore.

Yeah I don't know what I'm talking about, I only played trials of the Exile games, and that was a million years ago.

About the graphics:

Vogels games always made evolutionary jumps. The difference between Geneforge 1-3 and 4-5 is huge so it's not unexpected that his newest one would also be an improvement. It's still noticeably a Spiderweb game though, you can still see a lot of art assets from 10 years ago. But that is part of the charm I guess, one instantly feels at home on a pure visual level.

I'll give the demo a try but I'm pretty sure it's a buy for me as Vogel's games, despite some repetitiveness, have provided me with literally hundreds of hours of entertainment which I can't say about some of the Tripple-Ass games I've played recently.
