He is right. The glory of BG1EE has yet to be surpassed. BG2EE comes close.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex USB, 2014 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
News flash: the Ultima 7 engine is better than the Infinity Engine.

Make an Ultima 7 part 3, or a sequel to Teudogar, and this whole Baldur's Gate fad will pass right quick.

You really think that EA is going to let anyone touch anything named 'Ultima'?

WoTC says something different. Unless they want to implement 5th edition in that engine.

I don't see why they wouldn't want to do that. I still want to repeat what I said earlier:

If they choose to use a different engine for BG3 (Unity) there's no way in hell that they can bring in the complexity and functionality that they would be able to achieve with still using the IE.

Sadly, we won't be able to track this game's sales performance on Steamspy because it's a DLC.

But the number of people playing BG:EE when it comes out can serve as a proxy.

I'm likely one of the biggest Baldur's Gate series fans here and I hope that BG3 never happens.
I had thought that Baldur's Gate 3 was called "Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance" and was developed by Black Isle, the ones who made the previous games.

Pictures were posted earlier of this so called game.

[Edit:]
I just found this out, Baldur's Gate was supposedly going to be ported to the Dreamcast.

I still don't understand the reasoning of porting games to platforms that they don't belong on.

Nobody wants a BG3 by the current development teams going around at the moment.
