The only thing annoying me is the text. The size of the proper text, even at the maximum, is not enough, and the size of the window is not very good either. They could've made the use of space better. Or did it semi customizable as they did with baldurs gate and icewind dale. For a game that is so focused on the text, It will be hard to play it all in that way, but maybe it is because i am used to play the modded version for so long. I still prefer the good old modded version over this.
You can modify the Lua file to increase the size of the text, but I agree they could have done a much better job with the space in dialogue window.

What's Next for Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition

The launch of Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition went better than the team here at Beamdog could have ever hoped.

From our oh-so subtle “Plan Escape” teaser to launch day, we saw only a few hiccups and many, many Planescape fans excited to experience the story of the Nameless One again. We’re continuing to see an incredible number of players saying they’re exploring the world of Planescape for the first time, and we couldn’t be more pleased to hear it.

Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition has become our most successfully reviewed game yet. We’re seeing 9/10 from reviewers for the desktop version, and even better scores for PST:EE on tablets. Unscored reviews from sites like Rock Paper Shotgun, PC Gamer, and Kotaku have all said that PST:EE is absolutely the way to visit Sigil.

So what’s next for Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition?

Mobile players may have noticed a 3.04 release shortly after launch which fixed a crashing issue affecting French, German, and Polish versions of the game.

The team is already hard at work on a 3.1 patch for PST:EE which will include a number of bug fixes, feature requests, and polish items. We expect it will take a few weeks to finish and test the patch and a full list of patch notes will be available here on the Beamblog when we release. In the meantime, our community and QA teams will continue to gather feedback and bug reports.

We’ve heard many fans asking for Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition to be localized into Russian, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, and other languages. The team is looking into options, however we currently don’t have anything to share on that front.

In other studio news, our longtime Project Lead, Alex Tomovic, has decided to step away from the gaming industry to take a lofty, high-profile position in corporate IT management. Alex’s leadership on Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, and Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition will be missed, however we wish him the best and hope to see him as a fan of Beamdog’s future projects. Congratulations on the new job Alex!

Watch for more news on what’s next with Beamdog, the upcoming Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition 3.1 patch, and a future blog series on the making of PST:EE in the weeks ahead. We’ve got a lot to share about what's ahead and we’re excited to have all of our fans along for the ride.

Speaking of patching, are they still working on patches for the other EEs or they are completely abandoned?

Beamdog is still outselling #RektHook, so even they aren't the worst scammer retards out there.

I haven't visited Codex for a few weeks, did you come to conclusion over this Enchanced Edition or you're still bitching around?

It's a great enhanced edition. Vanilla Planescape: Torment is still the "perfect" version of the game, as in, the most cohesive. But the EE offers far too many QOL improvements.

I do not consider it "bitching" when pointing out that Beamderp is a parasitic company demanding quite a few bucks for very little actual work.

They've done quite a bit of work actually, if aVENGER's comments are to be believed. Most of it is for nothing, but eehh. I think they haven't heard the phrase "work smarter, not harder".

The vast majority of the work was done by the companies which made the games in the first place. Shit like zoom and outline crap is meaningless and the supposed "improvments" to the UI are crap for the most part. The tab highlighting in Planescape essentially breaks quests because you are supposed to put some effort into finding the stuff.
Most of the patching and restoration work was acquired from free mods so again very little work on their part. At most you could argue they improved the pathing, and that is not particularly praiseworthy for 20 bucks since it does not affect the gameplay much, or at all since all it does is saving you a couple of clicks.

That doesn't change the fact that they've rewritten most of the code. Yes, it was pointless, with trivial results, but they still did it.

They claim they did. Furthermore, results are what matters. So my point that Beamturd is a parasitic company who does very little work in comparison what the original developers did and still charging around half of the original price for so little improvement is evidence enough to label them the parasitic shitstains that they are.

Remaking/rewriting a piece of software is always hard work, harder than you'll think it is.

For example, I just spent the past month and a half rewriting some code I wrote a few years ago. Does basically the same thing, with some improvements. I would estimate it took me around 40% of the time that it took to create the original. That's how it is. (It is much better code now, though.)

Not nearly as hard as planning, designing, writing, etc. an entire game from scratch.

Nobody is claiming Beamdog did more work than BIS, where did you even get that?

I would understand the butt hurt a lot more if Beamdog had added SJW crap/ messed up in some other ways, but in PST:EE I just don't get the parasite claim. They put out a product and they charge a price for the quality of life improvements (all customisable) they had made. Some of us think that the improvements are worth it (basically the price of a nice Kebab with soda), and others like you disagree.

Do you hate capitalism as well? Are you so self-righteous that you think you should be the judge of the prices of different goods and services in the market?

Who SHOULD be the judge, though? If morons weren't eager to throw away their money on hack jobs then the prices would adjust or maybe even the quality of the work would increase.
Sorry, but that's capitalism, where prices adjust for demand not where somebody decides a price and everyone has to accept it.
