I think this says all about the mindset modern devs have.

For them, it really is not just a case of "lol we dumb down this franchise into a shitty FPS game because we want dudebrahs to buy it". They honestly believe that Skyrim/FO4 design is the right and innovative way to do an RPG now.

That's infinitely sadder somehow.
