Nah, I played it yesterday at a friend's PC with the same CPU as yours, 8GB(64bit) and a better graphic card. In the spider boss fight there were some serious slowdowns at the end of the fight. The exact same thing happened with my core2duo 3,2MHz, 4GB, HD4870. Probably an engine/port bug.

Playing on my laptop, which is roughly similar in power to WW's computer, I didn't get much slowdown, except right at the end of the Spider boss battle.

Since I finished the game more than a week ago now, I'm tempted to start a playthrough on the unlocked 'No Mercy' difficulty, though I'll probably do it at a more leisurely pace.

I like how the thread was closed enough though it wasn't the OP that called them an idiot.

Yes. I'm hoping that starting out already adjusted to the game will prevent it from being too difficult. The patched controls will make a big difference (after already adjusting to the unpatched mouse quite well over the course of my original playthrough, the patched one feels almost flawless, even though it isn't).

Also knowing important strategies, like where to hide from the spider bot to make it pretty easy, and not using that deathtrap of a mounted gun against the gorilla, will help.

Average Manatee: Nah, the truncated quote is misleading. It was locked for being in the ME3 story and campaign discussion forum.

:edit: Waitaminute. You had to read the thread to see that the OP wasn't calling them idiots. :decline: of reading comprehension.

Confirmed. I have roughly the same system specs as Whiskey and the game still stittered at the end of the fight with the spider. However, I have to say it runs more smoothly than Mass Effect 3 did.

You rock. I've been fighting the good fight in the same difficulty setting as you but can quite match your level of performance in normal skirmish.

I am kinda proud to say I outdid you in the first battle with teh gorrilaz. The second battle, however, was one big :rage: Still, it was quite entertaining.

Thanks bro, but keep in mind this is my second run. I died to the monkey 5 times when I first started out too. It was just too lethal. XD
My advice is to map Q and E key to 'Turn left and Right' so the turret turns more quickly.

What I did was just avoid the turret entirely (after deciding it was a deathtrap from my failed first attempt), and kill that bastard with my AR and sniper, sprinting from one side of the room to the other. Stunning and unloading into his head worked well, and killing his reinforcements provided the charge packs to replenish.

    It took a while though.

At on point I didn't think it was even possible to take the gorilla with your standard gun - it seemed to do absolutely nothing since there's no popamole, decline health bar over its head. Absolutely the worst thing about that fight were the reinforcements consisting of reds. Jesus H. Christ, as if rabid gigantic ape was not enough. I know they served as the source of farm points, but still. I lost countless medkiys on that battle which is strange, considering that the previous fight with the ape was suprisingly easy.

There's something freaky going on with Faye's ponytail.

Though apparently she's voiced by Laura Bailey:incline:

Beat the game twice. Dissapointed by the fact that Big Bo is not a Cybernegro. :decline:

And I found the plot twist :retarded: (Won't spoil)

Well, I haven't reached the place yet, but :retarded: plot twist was somewhat included in the price of the whole thing. I would want my money back if it wasn't there.

Which plot twist? The first one, the second or the third one? Because even taken together they were a lot less :retarded: then I was expecting them to be.

The first was where I expected it to be, althought it still suprised me because of the "second bottom".
    The second was obvious.
The third one totally blindsided me.

    Cain is pretty :bro:.

I've just noticed that everyone has been very spoiler conscious in this practiced LP, where the ME3 blind LP had spoilers all over the place. I appreciate it, of course, but it boggles the mind.

At least this game has the potential to become a cult hit and remembered as such, while Turd Effect 3 will forever be remembered for its utter [IMG]

Kinda same story as Alpha Protocol. Damn Sega.

Yep, it's such a similar end story, I hope someone in Sega actually woke up and realize they have a good IP in their hands. The cast is just too good to be thrown away like that. I'm definitely going for the Skyway achievement.
