BL2 lacks an assault rifle class.

Because it's so shit it might as well not exist.

Go eat a twinkie, ya fat bastage. Games are fine to play through once... maybe twice. But farming drops is utterly pointless.

Fuck this. Some of us have been wanting an FPS-Diablo hybrid since the dawn of time. And both Hellgate and BL are monumental failures in this regard. BL1 got a little bit on the right track, then instead of improving upon BL1, in BL2 they fucked up everything that worked for BL1.

Playing BL series for only "play through once or twice" is dumb. Because the story is seven-year-old dumb, the shooting is weak, the co-op non-existent, the game world/map empty and ugly, the NPCs annoying as fuck. The only selling point is the 80 bazillion of guns but after spending 200 hours with BL2, I say it's patently false advertising.

But this is Gearbox, the firm headed by the ex-professional con man Pitchford. So fuck me for being stupid and paying 15 bucks for this shit.

Okay, go grind out your legendary weapons that you'll do nothing with other than... grind more legendary weapons.

That's not the point. Have you ever played a Diablo game? You build your character with random drops that are (surprise!) viable unlike in stupid BL2. Once in a blue moon, you get a legendary which has unique properties that completely change the gameplay. I didn't "grind" squat in Diablo 2 (or even Diablo 3 for that matter). Every minute is solid enjoyable gameplay.

And yes, BL2 made me grind like a dumbfuck. I'm ashamed. But I wouldn't make the same mistake again with this presequel shit, especially considering 99% of the guns they didn't even bother to remodel or even re-skin. Fucking lazy. Also fuck that SJW writing.

BL2 felt so grindy I never even finished the first playthrough. Considering that the core gameplay is basically loot whoring I was shocked at how homogenized and unfulfilling the loot was. After a few hours I realized the gameplay boiled down to sifting through garbage loot to occasionally find a marginally better gun. I caught a glimpse of my future and uninstalled before wasting any more of my time.

There's no way I'm gonna touch this game. Not even for free. No exaggeration.

In BL2 you only need Bee, that is not hard to farm, and Unkempt Harold, which can be bought for tokens. But you only really need that for solo boss hunting. For killing mooks, purples are more than enough, especially if you are a Maya. And purples can be farmed really fast from Bunker.

In BL2 you only need Bee, that is not hard to farm, and Unkempt Harold, which can be bought for tokens. But you only really need that for solo boss hunting. For killing mooks, purples are more than enough, especially if you are a Maya. And purples can be farmed really fast from Bunker.

Using purples, at max level, bullet sponge mobs take forever to kill. And they have non-existent AI so the fight is neither challenging or thrilling. The game really poses some existential questions that make you doubt your sanity: what is the meaning of this grind? There is no "make the best/most efficient build" meta-game going on; no MMO-style "I've grinded so much so I can have brag rights in front of other socially-retarded strangers"; and the actual gunplay is extremely unsatisfying. What's the point of playing this game? Just to hear Anthony Burch's shitty memes?

what are you tryhards talking about? not once was I forced to farm or grind or even search for builds online or resort only to a particular kind of a weapon. what were you grinding for, honestly?

Did you play at max level at UVHM? I dare you to use shit grade green or purple weapons against the DLC's skeleton mobs (the most basic trash mob). Even with gunzerking and gigantic-magazine bandit/valof miniguns, they take forever to kill.

Or the raid bosses for that matter. In fact, one of the more enjoyable raid boss, the four dragons, require a VERY SPECIFIC build/weapon setup to kill. If you use purple, you're not gonna last two minutes.

With this, Zero can one-shot nearly anything (with melee, point blank shotgun or sniper headshot) and with this and decent purple class mod and Maliwan SMG Maya can clear a crowd in several seconds (phaselock duration + five or so seconds for mop up).

These are level 50 builds. Game was semi-balanced around lvl 50 but after that, it's just insanely unbalanced.

If you didn't know, stupid GBX released Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode and raised the level cap. The most stupid thing is that the level cap raise is mandatory. You WILL level up past lvl 50, even if you choose to stay in the easier True Vault Hunter Mode. But if you do that, in True Vault Hunter Mode, enemy levels are capped at 50 so once you reach lvl 55, you've out-leveled them and everything becomes trivial (monsters die when you so much as to just look at them). So any reasonable player will choose to play in Ultimate mode.

In UVHM, monsters have their HP doubled than TVHM. Coupled with extremely tilted exponential enemy HP curve, in UVHM, a lvl61 player vs. a lvl61 enemy, there is no way a Maya can "clear a crowd in several seconds". Go ahead, try your purple gear at witch doctors at lvl 61.

In short, GBX has no idea what they are doing.

I barely played UVHM, tbh, so you may be right. But in either case, you have two playthrought per character before it, of which at least one and a half is fun.

I never had the patience to sit for 4 hours to farm for specifics parts of a build... Too boring.

Yes, I play games like that... just not for 500 hours.

started playing presequel. got into the moon shot, when it rotated, i got propelled out of the map. had to quit and load to proceed.
got on the moon. moon lesbian had a clipboard to give me for a quest. she stuck her hand inside the travel station, so i couldn't fucking pick it up. had to quit and load to proceed.
got to quest enemy. he sank through the floor. said fuck it and uninstalled.

Yeah, NPC love to get stuck. Was not happening that often to me, though. Maybe it is caused by too slow or too fast PC.

my pc is from last year and it was towards the upper end of the manageable budget spectrum, so it's neither (plus bl2 has zero issues and it's the same engine).
