Hope the demon main character can fuck, kill and eat the romance-able NPC. Not necessarily in that order.

I... like Spiders' games so I'm looking forward to this. They have some of the best writers IMO and someday they'll match that with their gameplay.

Can't say without playing, but my first impression based on everything so far is the game's going to be one of those with its heart in the right place and a serious lack of budget to go with it. I can smell clunky from a mile away.

BOUND BY FLAME: THE RELEASE DATE AND NEW SCREENSHOTS!
03-14
34-large.jpg

Bound by Flame, the new RPG developed by Spiders studios, will be released on May 9th on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3, Xbox 360® and PC. Today, the game offers a new glimpse of what's in store with a new series of exclusive images of some of the ferocious creatures you'll have to face in your numerous quests!

The bestiary you will confront in Bound by Flame is impressive, rich and varied. Conceived and brought to life by the talented teams at Spiders studios, these creatures are as terrifying as they are deadly, and will do their utmost to make your life hell in spectacular, real-time and highly tactical battles. And just how they do that is revealed in the six new screenshots we urge you to check out now!

The strategic depth of the combat system in Bound by Flame has been made possible mainly through the variety and originality of the game bestiary. Each creature has its specific attacks, special skills and, in particular, individual behavior that will force the player to adapt his tactics and combat style depending on the composition of the groups of enemies he encounters. This, combined with the awesome range of strikes available to the player, the use of magic and the incredible combat animations, contributes to make the battles in Bound by Flame both tactically complex and visually stunning.

A video dedicated to the combat system in Bound by Flame will also be unveiled in the coming weeks!

Published by Focus Home Interactive, Bound by Flame, the new RPG developed by Spiders studios, will be released on May 9th on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3, Xbox 360® and PC. The game will be distributed in North America by American publisher Majesco.

dont have any high expectations for story, CnC or whatever but maybe this one has some good ARPG combat ? of course you have to play it to judge but alone from "looks" the combat *could* be interesting and maybe/hopefully offer the strategic depth the PR gibberish is talking about.

one thing i already like is that the dodging enemy attacks seems to be done by sidestepping rather than the retarded "throw yourself on the ground and roll around the enemy" - of course thats just an animation and the game could still be shit whereas some games with the retarded rolling are pretty damn good ( no. i m not talking about twitcher :P ) but it is a tiny little detail i appreciate ( IN WHAT LIKELY WILL BE A SEA OF SHIT SHIT SHIT IN THAT GODAWFUL EUROTRASH SHOVELWARE RPG)

In Severance: Blade of Darkness only the Amazon would dodge by rolling but she was supposed to be the ultra lithe nimble fighter of the bunch using lightweight weapons.

The burly barbarian wielding massive weapons sidestepped and the dwarf/knight in heavy armour had a dodge so pathetic that blocking was way more effective.

I think the combat looks very similar to Dark Souls (more dancing simulation and pattern recognition than actual combat).
Which doesn't say anything about good or bad. But it is definitely not my cup of tea.

This looks horrible, nothing like Blade of Darkness, more like Diablo 3D, there's no weight to the combat animations. And lots of stuff glowing and stupid slow-mo.
What is it with the fucking Shepard-esque main characters. Shepard is the most boring and bland main character I've ever seen. GUYS THE ONLY THING ABOUT OUR HERO WE CAN SEE IS THE HEAD AND YOU GIVE HIM A BUZZ CUT?

Not to mention the plot is basically Naruto.

Nah, seems pretty okayish for a discount bin game and I never really had much hope for it being a savior of the genre . If it's on par with TDE Demonicon, which I found pretty entertaining I might try it. Sadly I think I just grew accustomed to playing shitty games nowadays.

Mars: War Logs was decent, so I might try this one out when it hits the $15 range.

The announcing voice was funny. I thought it was something ironic but nope, its actually serious. But how they say combat will be hard (at RPS) was especially hilarious.

 its just to make morons think they are hard core gamers for winning in "combat" with zillion super cinematic special effects porn "attacks"

And youre a DEEMOOON TOO and you splurge saliva over hot chicks!!!

that romance sequence should go into most hilarious list - first tits, then ass - then SLOBERSPLURFGLBLHHHBLLFRRRFFFF!

You're making me wonder if it's possible to make something so trashy and cheesy, it becomes entertaining, like the Bowfinger of video games. :)

Fighter, Ranger, Pyromancer. You know the classes are bad when Mass Effect's classes seem more inspired than this shit.

You think Mass Effect inspired the fighter ranger and fire-mage classes?

Well certainly, but as one off thing. (thats a downward path into gaping mouths of decline) Of course you would need someone as good as me to do it. :)

:slaps living one hard many many times:

Living One! What the fuck is wrong with you!!?? Wake up! Wake up!
Snap out of it!
