Shitposter's advocate here:

First some facts and conjectures:

1- User got his tag by 2 reasons: Appeal to popularity(not the best case but still) and credentialism(mods);
2- DU apparently doesn't review post history of users, he trust his moderators to do so and to be fair, jaesun seems like a good bet in identifying shitposters, cuz shitposters know a shitposter when they see one;
3- User got redirected for complaining about his new tag.
4- Discussing reasons for being banned, harassed is unproductive and leads nowhere, only do it if you find it fun.

Since DU won't adress conjecture 2 by exposing his methodology of singling out shitposters, i'm going to assume fact 1 is 100% true. So if we assume for a moment that credentialism + weak appeal to popularity is a legitimate reason for tagging a user, then let me expose a counter appeal to popularity.

Ok so first, let me check my credentials...

:negative:

Ok, let's stick to appeal to brofists then:
The user in question have 897 brofists and 181 KKK's. Not even close to a user with photoshoping skills, but not really bad either. Now let me quote some of his most approved posts:

Also I don't understand why people want to cheese...

No one has as many friends as the man with many cheeses!!

No traces of self-preservation instincts of any kind.
And why are you so butthurt at me?
Me? I barely noticed you so far. In my Codex Experience™ you're just some clown that appeared out of nowhere to entertain me for a couple of minutes and is going to fade back into obscurity afterwards.

Sure get back to your degenerate GD inanity.

You should have been less Chaotic and more Lawful, Heretic. Now burn in hell!

What is it with people who start threads in SF over a tag and then go on accusing everybody else of "butthurt"?

It may have been chopped out of the carcass that is the PoE megathread or wherever and then deposited here, but he definitely started it. Don't be retarded.

It was split from the Torment Megathread and moved here, because apparently when you get a new tag on the codex, you should discuss it in the Torment thread.

This is the tale of my torment on codexia. What does one tag matter? What can change the nature of a tag? I was raising these profound questions on the torment thread.

And stop being retarded, I did not start this thread, more like derailing an exsisting thread, and some mod created this thread instead of retardoing it, like i expected.

(actually I was replying to Rake's accusation of butthurt, and had just noticed my tag)

Either jaesun or infinitron created this thread, And they split posts that were from a different thread on a different forum and out of context. Thats not one but two things you failed to take into account, because you are that much of a dumbfuck.
Stop being wrong senile oldfag, failing that better to shut up than to leave your ignorance in evidence.

The point is, if you were stupid enough to shit on a legit thread in GRPG with something as inane as that, you're a shitposter and therefore the statement and the punishment are valid.

Frankly, I don't blame Jaesun for scalpeling that shit out of there and I think you're lucky DU is as magnanimous as he is for not just ding-dong-bannu-ing you outright.

Below are some more statements that Crispy licks DU's ass, felates him regularly, and other gems of keen insight. Enjoy.

The point is, if you were stupid enough to shit on a legit thread in GRPG with something as inane as that, you're a shitposter and therefore the statement and the punishment are valid.
We both know its not even close to the worst shit that is said there. The reason he got the tag was because he was talking against PoE and we both know theres a very strong bias in favor of those two kickstarters.
Yes, i know infinitron wants the codex to keep having (and even improving) good relations with the guys at obs and inxile, but i dont think its worth it if any criticism people makes is met with apologist bullshit, it defeats the purpose of the site.
It isnt even about chaotic or a fucking tag, its about bringing GD bullshit behaviour into GRPG and making sure it dont happen again. As much as i didnt give a shit about lossing hiver, i dont think it was right, i shoulda spoken back then, but i acted like a butthurt asshole because i couldnt stand him.

I think you're lucky DU is as magnanimous as he is for not just ding-dong-bannu-ing you outright.
I think DU is a reasonable fellow that went tru the trouble of creating a site where people could speak their mind and not fear any kind of censorship. And i believe that is the very reason the quality of the cRPG discussions is as high as it is, retards and dumbfucks get filtered along with anyone that cant take it, and people that is capable of making good points and backing them up stays, because theres simply no other place like this.
I also believe he sees the value in that, which is why hes kept this place running for as long as it has. Not gonna say i understand him, because honestly some days i dont, but i understand that.

Below are some more statements that Crispy licks DU's ass, felates him regularly, and other gems of keen insight. Enjoy.
Heh, where there is smoke.

Except Sawyer is a shitty designer and PoE's going to suck. I still remember the days when Saint and I used to routinely bag Bishop's design skills and lack there-of. That was back when Interplay's forums existed, and when Interplay where the biggest developer of RPGs on the planet. It was also one of the reasons this site was founded, as it's hard to argue about combat design when suck-up mods on the Interplay forums kept locking threads for becoming "too heated". Especially over their various ideas for Fallout incarnations.

Then Bethesda became the big guys and we pointed out the flaws in their design too. So much that they blacklisted us.

And now, Crooked Bee's making and winning bets about whether PoE will get released on time or not.

Given that kind of history, it would be kind of odd for us to ban people for not liking certain games.
