A lot of things, makes ET not being "why do I even have this?"
... and hopely stops PvPers to bitch about subnuke ...

You mean "bitch about the only ability that actually enables you to kill one of those cannonscortfags once in a blue moon"?

That was my first thought. ET now may actually be worth taking now.

Nice to see they've also finally fixed the issue with KDF costume slots, which has been sitting in their "known bugs" list since as long as I can remember.

This isnt 2012 anymore.
Then why are they still bitching about it? :smug:

They arent or rather they are talking about the main flaw of A2B that is no Aux so you cannot really heal using a A2B build, with this ET can be used for heals, another issue is a ceratin DOFF.

Escorts been dead for a quite a while now, even before Warbirds.

The main damage to PvPers is you cannot really fuck people over using subnuke as a prelude to decloak alpha by removing the target buffs anbd screw their CO since they can just ST but still this was only if they keep TT running and lacked ST.

ET isn't all it's cracked up to be. ET1 ain't really all that spectacular, and ET3 would push out one of your other core skills. In fact, the only ATB boat that really gains the ability to hurl ET3 with impunity are things like...well, the Gal-X. Otherwise you're giving up your DEM + Marion, or your RSP, so that you can be a better...healer...in DPS Online.

Most non-Sci ships are even more restricted in terms of what to slot in their even more limited Science slots. Science Team offers a bigger flash heal than TSS, but does nothing to improve your shield resistances, so the effective heal offered can actually be somewhat less. Trading your TSS for Science Team may actually make you squishier.

Players of Science in PvP are up in arms over the prospect of offensive science clears becoming increasingly widespread. I can see how in the short run, this could be bad, but in the long run, calls to boost science may become more practical in light of the fact that practical counters now exist, which may ultimately result in better Science.

Agreed on that. With Subnuke now brought down a notch, there's more imperative to bring all the other Science powers up a notch.

Subnuke isn't affected at all by this. When you subnuke someone, they lose all their powers. The CD debuff is just icing on the cake, one that you don't care particularly much about.

the point is that without the shared cooldown everyone and his dog always have a sci/eng team ready to fire and to restore disabled subsystems.
a poweful buff in pve, a powerful nerf to sci in pvp.

Apparently there's more coming down the pipe for Sci, though. The devs have apparently considered this issue.

Well, what I'd figure is that Sensor Scan gets a big uptime increase either through duration and/or cooldown improvements, and they'll probably have to do some changes to Scattering Field too. Photonic Fleet seems to somewhat work these days, though it's pathetically easy to counter-act by almost anything with AoE capability.

Right now it seems the idea you lock SA on a target and can switch to another, plus stacks will count for allied targets for bonus healing purposes.

I wouldn't say Photonic Fleet is "pathetically easy to counter". A Sci boat with the Photonic capacitor trait can fart them out rather often, and if they get mowed down by FAW-spam, they're still serving an important role as chaff, which is basically what they were for anyway.

So....how's your FM reservoir doing these days? Mine's getting pretty big so I can only imagine what it looks like for fleet members who are religious about their daily doffing. Doesn't look like there's any new fleet holding on the horizon at the moment either.

With just about every SB project done and nowhere to dump FMs, newer fleetmates are being hamstrung in their efforts to get the cool shinies, like spire tac consoles. Alternatives?

But that is wrong, FMs are for selling, the other option is for other things.

Also I would not spend them just yet, Tribble just shown a horrible thing called Undine Fleet Action so next season is likely close upon us.

why? it sounded like i could finally ditch all the useless skills in favor of the few good ones.
honest question, i did't really investigate on how they're going to implement it.

... Or in actuality you'll end up having to spend a fuckload of extra effort to get one of the already perfect kits back.
