Vanquish is a pretty cool popamoler, maybe play MGS4 for the lulz. I would recommend Wipeout HD and Armored Core games if you're into this sort of stuff.
I also heard that Valkyria Chronicle is kind of good (if you are a faggot of course).

There's an upcoming Guilty Gear game calleed Xrd Sign which is coming to PS3/PS4. Another fighter worth picking up is Persona 4 Arena and the upcoming sequel (P4A2), but that's not a PS3 exclusive.

And there's probably a handful of worthwhile more obscure SRPGs

I'm basically talking about PS3 exclusives here. Deadly P. isn't an exclusive, but since the PC port is shit, you're probably better off with the console version.

Demon's/Dark Souls and Disgaea games are infinitely superior to anything that's been put out during the recent years by Western A-AAA RPG developers. Witcher, Alpha Protocol and even Fallout New Vegas were moderately popular in the top RPG polls

I've only played some UFC game on PS3 and random fightin games. Idk if you shouldget those for your kids though
