Ninja Gaiden Black should be available for download as an "Xbox Original" for like ten bucks or something. Or at least it was a few years back. Get that by any means necessary, even eBay/Amazon a copy if the chipping prevents you from getting the digital download version. Best action game ever made, bar none. Failing that, grab the sequel, Ninja Gaiden 2, and have some fun. It's better in some ways, but a bit of a decline in general quality. Being rushed out 6-months ahead does that. Still, highly recommended. Avoid Ninja Gaiden 3 like the plague.

Devil May Cry HD collection might not be bad. You get the first three DMC games all on one disc. DMC1 and DMC3 come highly recommended, though I'm not sure how well they control on a 360 pad. Probably fine unless you want to do jump-cancelling shenanigans, which 95% of players won't give two shits about.

Bayonetta is a game that, while I have a lot of issues with, I would recommend to pretty much anyone who wants a fun enough action game. The developer, Platinum, also made a popamole game called Vanquish, where instead of sitting behind cover, you slide around the battlefield, knock down giant robots with dash kicks, and use the power of chain-smoking to distract evil Russian robots. Pretty fun game.

Way of the Samurai 3 is pretty cool. It's an action-RPG with more choices and consequences than most "RPGs". Combat is a little awkward and stiff at first, but you get used to it. It's also very Japanese. The fourth one is due to be translated and globally released soon as well.

Ninja Gaiden Black is one of the best third person action games ever, everyone should play this, it's very difficult though.
Bayonetta is pretty good as well.

If you are into fighter's I would forget Tekken 6 as Tekken tag tournament 2 is comming out very shortly and will be a vastlt superior game.
Forget about dead or alive 4, it's a button masher and has a terrible counter system, it's universally looked down on as utter shit by the competitive scene. Although the new one look's interesting.
I like Streetfighter x Tekken but unfortunately it committed commercial suicide with it's pay to win model and most are boycotting it at this point. it's also very thin on content with half the game locked away on disk and awaiting future "DLC release"
I played SfIV to death but can't stomach it at this point, it's over rated and a turtle fest...

Mortal Kombat 9 is surprisingly probably the best fighter released in the last few year's. It's miraculously not that broken, and has a very lol single player stoyline. I was not expecting to enjoy it but IMO NRS studio's proved they can actually make a decent game with this title. Probably best bang for your buck out of all the fighter's.

    and Dark soul's of course....

    Dragon's Dogma.

I just watched an ogre slap both elbows before doing a running-dropkick on me, sending my lifeless corpse spiraling down some caverns.

But isn't playing Skyrimjob and Derpbro 3 on PC for over 100 hours more monocle than playing Derp Souls and Skyrimjob on Xbawks?

My xbawkz are for monocle games like beat 'em ups and racing. Consoles have a better selection than PC in this regard.

Can you get arcade games on your chipped box? There's some decent stuff to be had if that's the case.

Dunno. I haven't looked into that. got my box back yesterday.
Starts up faster than before. We did a side-by-side comparsion between my box and an unchipped one. Startup time was roughly halved. Custom dashboard works brilliantly. Got a ton of MAME games now and they go great with my arcade sticks. The games I ended up getting thrown on it to fill the HDD in case anyone were wondering:
Arkham City, Bayonetta, Dark Souls, Forza 4, Dirt 3, Soul calibur V, tekken 6, street fighter vs tekken, fight night champion, some music packs for my rock band 1+2+3 collection, a shitton of MAME ROMs.
Plus a bunch of games I already own (red dead redemption, SSFIV Arcade, GRiD, Ninja Gaiden Black etc) installed to HDD to skip load time from DVD.

All in all there sould be enough on my xbox to tide me over for games for the foreseeable future.
    :yeah:
