So copy-pasting text from other sites is a pain in the ass because it also copies the color and all the weird formatting. You can "paste as plain text" but then you lose ALL formatting including hyperlinks, italics, etc.

I'd like a button that removes all formatting from text EXCEPT font size, hyperlinks and italics/bolds/underlines/etc.

I'd really like it if Codex removed this function altogether and brought back the old message input, which only shows TEXT and no formatting.:obviously: While you're at it, remove the WYSIWYG approach from image/video/link/smiley buttons, I want to be able to see the code for my image/smiley/shit, not the actual image. It doesn't help, and stretches out the poor message window beyond measure.Oh, and the new smileys suck balls.

Have you tried using the upper left button(the one that looks like an eraser) the editor has?

That removes all formatting, including the stuff I want to preserve

I hope you realize copy/pasting constitutes copyright infringement. Don't make us report you to the authorities.

I've lost count of how many times I nearly brofisted infinitron for making a semi-interesting (if horribly misinformed) post, only to find out he had copypasted it verbatim from forbes or somewhere else without embedding it in quote tags. :P

The new version of XenForo has fixed this. :incline:

That staff member thing is dubious and basically tied to who's a forum moderator.
