Look.

No one needs all this drama. I mean we crave it, some here would even mainline it if it could be somehow distilled into liquid form, but there's no doubt that it's killing us.

Here's what I'd suggest to help end this conflict and bring balance back to the realm:

DarkUnderlord should simply apologize, not only to yuri, but to Codex in general. I'm not going to take a stance on whether or not what he did was right or wrong (I'm still on rather thin ice myself) but it's clear what he did do definitely ruffled more than a few feathers.

I also think that yuri should be unbanned, Brut should be unbanned, and no lawyers should be called.

Let's let bygones be bygones, shall we? We don't need Brian Fargo breathing down our necks over this whole thing.

Let there be peace.

P.S. My name is Chris

DU should separate himself entirely from either the business or social aspect of Codex first and foremost. He's proven he cannot be trusted with customer data.

look. i haven't been to the RPG forums in a long time (stressful couple of years, no time/too neurotic to sit down and enjoy an RPG)

but the fact that someone tweeting a dev some negative PR about the codex is like this huge big deal, really shows that things have changed way more than even i thought. actually, it feels like the codex administration is just a bunch of cucks who sold out their people just so some retarded dev making 40$k per year can retweet them about some shitty game (and btw, any website which accepts donations will face a public scandal/outrage considering what happened, whether it was Brut who did it or someone else, and knowing DU, he will own up to that when he releases his statement).

outside of the apology DU needs to make for the ironyuri scandal, he also needs to do some serious reshuffling of the staff on this site. the codex became this big because it's a counter-culture refuge, that extends far beyond simply liking old school RPG's. that's why most of the other RPG websites are dying/dead, but the codex is still gaining new people every day and has more users than most mainstream websites. but for some reason a lot of the people working for this website spend half their time on their knees giving devs a big sloppy BJ on various social media. are these people supposed to be representing the codex?

incidentally, the codex which tore oblivion a new asshole with VD's review, seemed to have much less sociopathic assholes than the codex of today. the whole blogdex about embarrassing wimmin situation -> doxxed -> IRL pwnage cycle has happened a bunch of times now, and i don't see the administration acting robustly to deal with this situation. the codex doesn't want to deal with lawyers and L.E. but they are doing nothing to counter this situation.

there are obvious policies that need to be enforced which protect the people on this great forum not only from malicious users, but from their own stupidity.

i was going to tell you guys how to deal with this situation, but i have decided that my expertise does not come for free. that's why i am offering my services as a consultant to the Codex for a measly 1,000$/m. in just one year, i can change the codex to make it so nothing like this ever happens again.

if the admins are interested in my services, PM me and we can hammer out the details of my appointment.

thank you,

-cloaked

I'm going to walk into your computer store one day Chris (which by the way, you and I know is not your actual real first name), I'm going to order a fucking computer and I'm going to fucking stand and watch while you fucking put it together. And everytime you've put in a component I'm going to fucking ask you what it is and then make you take it out and put in a different part. And I will make you explain every fucking part you put in. Then after it's done and I've paid you - likely with money stolen from the Codex - I'm going to smash it on the floor and tell you it was a shit PC anyway.

He's a Sheriff on the internet, on an RPG Forum.
He does it for free, he takes his "job" very seriously.
He does it because it is the only amount of power and control he will ever have in his pathetic life.
He deletes threads he doesn't like because whenever he gets upset he has an anxiety attack.
He gets people he doesn't like banned because they interfere with the large backlog of tranny porn he still has to watch.
He will never have a real job.
He will never move out of his parent's basement.
He will never be at a healthy weight.
He will never know how to cook anything besides a hot pocket.
He will never have a girlfriend.
he will never have any friends

I would pay money for this to happen. I want to give DU my real name and address so that when I lulz about doxxing Codexers, DU can drop my first name and I'll shit ABSOLUTE FUCKING BRICKS and run so hard and so fast and so far away that I end up taking at least five other users with me.

Don't unban these low lifes. A huge line has been crossed here indeed but the crossing wasn't done by DU. Blowing shit out of proportion then yelling these implications all over Twitter to Devs and News Sites trying to stir major shit up is not the ultimate troll, it's simply despicable.
Usually I'm pretty chill but this incident has me riled up tremendously. The trolls might be jerking off over this and are probably going through several boxes of kleenex as we debate but after a certain point there's no going back and I personally believe this was it. The Codex has been something truly beautiful amidst a sea of mediocrity. After this hole thing has played out I'm afraid things might never be the same again.

You took a user's real name from a paypal transaction and dropped it in public intentionally to scare him / intimidate him but by all means continue to be a bald, unjustifiably smug cunt with bad glasses and a terrible mustache.
