I didn't even need to know about all this techie speak to figure that sovereign state actors with custom specialized hardware and infrastructure >>> dorks with vidya gaming graphics cards

This is on its face more absurd than the Ron Paul liberty dollar, but it gets to have its boom and bust because it's "cool" with gray tribe leftist hipsters, until the next big thing. I suspect Nvidia is going to get hammered hard when this all blows up, and the gold hoarding doomsters are going to make bank.

Or plain old fashioned banks are going to make bank with blockchain and everyone else gets burned. In the long run it's a bad idea to bet against this.

Old news, but bears repeating lest people (minus the speculators) fall into this trap

Speculators are in for the most horrifying but just irony this side of high frequency trading. They are destroying liquidity instead of creating it as proper speculators do, and yet they will on average be the ones hung up by their own game of chicken. Do you have any highbrow sources about this? I love Denninger in moderation but I like monocles, too.

People were afraid of a one world currency for years. Bitcoin has the makings of one and we don't even know who created it, but people are treating it like it's the best thing since sliced bread.

But don't worry, guys, they say they'll "never" increase the amount of bitcoins above 21 million. We have their word on that. Whoever they are. It's not as if it's all just software that can be changed. It's not as if it's intrinsically worthless. It's not as if the government could just simply ban it or cut off your access to it in some way, rending it useless.

Why? It's not like anyone uses Nvidia for cryptocurrency mining. Try to find an AMD RX 580 in a store near *you*. Or anywhere for that matter.

Tulips is a silly comparison as tulips are not useful. Bitcoin on the other hand can be used to move money from country to country unseen, can be used to launder money, can be used to avoid taxes, can be used to shield money from lawsuits and crooked communist governments. Those properties make it useful, and that is why it is not going away whether it booms or busts.

If the Deep State knew who made Bitcoin, he or they would be dead, because the printers don't tolerate competitors to their fake currency. If you want proof of that, see what they did to Gaddafi, when he wanted to go back to the gold standard.

The Deep State doesn't fuck around. Gangsta!
