Not as good as Avatar 2's release day, but it will do.

I recall Blizzard saying that the Zerg and Protoss campaigns would be coming out soon.

How hilarious would it be if they removed the PvP from HotS as well? Single player only until they balance it. Would be fun to see teamliquid burn down blizzard.

I wouldn't mind if they removed Protoss vs Protoss, though.

As for HoS, pretty sure it's not coming out anytime soon. Next year is a more likely bet.

Don't worry, that's never gonna happen. SC 2 is pretty much the most popular pc online game atm., the same goes for the streams, it's pretty much the most streamed/most popular set of streams, so there's absolutely no chance in hell for Blizz to remove the player versus player from this here game. Not that I'd give much of a fuck, I've stopped laddering a long while a go, it's far too, and has the highest learning curve, in my opinion.

Probably during summer... SC2 was released in August, so they might think summer release is ideal or something.

But it is looking to be shit. Basically just adds a few retarded looking units with random abilities. Plus a continuation of WoL's terrible campaign story.

Also lol'd when I read this:

Yeah, truly a "mechanic" worthy of testing. Not like they didn't already have destructible debris in WoL and SC:BW:roll:

 Epic space battle clip at 32 seconds:

And the generic forgettable black guy is back... and he has more one-liners! "How many more need to die!"

"I am the swarm. Vengeance is mine!" - Sarah Kerrigan

    And from the top comments:
    "
This would make an amazing movie, just as long it doesnt have some bullshit sellout director like Michael Bay"

You forget Blizzard actually entered a divergent timeline shorty before WoW, a divergent timeline where LAN hasn't been invented yet. I imagine it's the same for destructible debris.

Why anyone would look forward to HotS multiplayer after what they showed at Blizzcon, I do not know.

Terran vs Protoss is much worse than Protoss vs Protoss. At least the latter, volatile as it may be, often has the player with better control and presence of mind winning. TvP is almost always either boring or frustrating for both players.

Mirror matches overall are annoying, especially TvT if it lasts longer than 30 minutes. But playing against protoss as anyone IMO is just boring or frustrating period.

At least in that is my professional opinion based on the glorious high-skill random race matches I had in gold league :seenoevil:

TvT is the one match-up I enjoy. Unlike all other MUs, unit positioning requires some thought put into it.

I loathe mirrors. Some TvT matches can be nice, but the ease of cheesing usually turns even these into a terribly annoying waste of time.

I'm also not even anticipating HoS, there's no aspect of WoL that I truly enjoy currently and Bnet 2.0 is such a clusterfuck, having destroyed much of what was enjoyable when playing SC:BW online. It's not even about skill level either, Masters league is just as boring, or more, than the lower level leagues and team games are incredibly broken. Competitively speaking, sure the game has potential, but the community is full of children fawning over the player du jour, not unlike teens and their love for Justin Beiber, to a point of being extremely annoying and off-putting. Then agaim, that's mainstream gaming for your, fan boys gone wild, really.

And SC2 isn't even close to being the most played competitive game, pretty sure LoL beats it in both stream viewers and players. Bnet is pretty much a ghost town, I'd wager that there are more people playing D2 online right now than SC2.

Actually I meant in regards to tanks. With tanks the game comes down to entrenching forces around the map, recognising where your opponent is spread too thinly and concentrating the right amount of forces in an assault. The static nature of your defences mean you have to be prepared ahead of time for any sort of attack. With bio you just run around with a ball of troops, doing gay harasses here or there and reacting to what your opponent is doing rather than trying to predict and prepare for his movements.

Also, here is an interesting game that's decided by positioning (disclaimer: it's pretty slow and drawn out though):

Yeah this is one (of many) aspects of the SC community I find retarded. Also: fanboyism over various casters and retards crying over how videogames aren't sports.

Fuck the SCII expansion packs. After the completely forgettable Wings of Liberty campaign, Blizz can go fuck themselves with their silly Queen of Darkness goose.

As for Diablo III, I'll just wait a month or two what the Codex has to say, but my hopes are rather slim from what I've seen.

What's all this talk of bland SC2 in this D3 thread... The new Diablo is actually quite interesting; it has a good atmosphere and nice visuals, and as far as I can tell, the gameplay is ok. There was a let's play of the beta right here on the Codex with a lot of positive reactions!

I enjoyed the Wings of Liberty Campaign. So much so that I played it until I got all the achievements for it.

All we need is the itemhunt to complete the inferno difficulty.

Its probably not going to be as good as D2 (D1 had much better atmosphere) but i still preordered a RIP-OFF CE.

    Consumer whore :(

That was supposed to be a joke among Starcraft grognards bro. I probably should've added something about Dragoons crossing the Destination bridges to make it clearer.

Are you daft? The game's atmosphere is extremely bland compared to the first Diablo (and perhaps okay in terms of the second), the visuals are typical 3D crappyness and don't hold a light to the previous one's amount of detail, the gameplay is, for all intents and purposes, been dumbed down from what were rather simple mechanics in D2 and the LP only served to demonstrate that what you're getting is a shallower, worse Diablo clone that somehow spent something like half a decade in the making (I made that number up but it's still been 11 years from LoD).

Or did I miss something on the way?
