For me this game went pretty easy and straight. My started location was almost in the middle of our lands and i wasn't fearing of get attacked by 2 or 3 players at once. By the end of first year i already managed to build first castle and the second required only a bit of time to get finished. At this point i started to raid C'tis. Exactly birdmen can't do shit against well armored lizards, but raw was always leading them in one group and therefore he didn't prevented me from capturing most of his provinces. At one time i even managed to besiege his capital and hold it for 2-3 turns until his forces returned and wrecked my army. By the end of third year it appeared that we can easily win by just capturing all surrounding thrones. I reaimed my guns from lizards and quickly captured Mictlan throne castle. There was almost no resistance.
Also, at some point i tried to help Arcoscephale, but my army appeared to be too small and i was pretty easily repelled by undead.

No, no. Your army had exactly the right size to serve a better (despite being lost) cause.

I also have to say, despite me playing shitty due to not knowing lots of things, Sceleria is waaayyy more fun to play than Pelagia.

Nazca also performed great at site-searching, and provided our team with flying H3 Throne claimers. Eventually I got myself an Alkonost too, but Nazca's Incas made Throne claiming a cakewalk.

Lizzurd should lead a team in next disciple game, methinks. He got skillz, and his engrish is wow.

The point of this table is next - i tried to show that our first ban should be Ashdod. Each column shows a possible ban-pick scenario. For example the most top-left column shows a variant when we ban Ashdod at first, then enemy bans ulm, we ban just some random shit and the second ban of our enemy is either Tien Chi or Agartha. This two nations both are very useful in disciples since they have very good summons, and when gem supplied by other nations they can easily create doomstacks. In this scenario in the end we pick either TC or Agartha and leave our enemies without the most valuable picks.

I had a horribly easy game of it here. Naturally dominant UW with a ton of UW to grab, I had money coming out of my ears until Asphodel decided to pay me a visit. Almost lost my Kraken to the sleep vines of Asphodel as well, my victory there was kinda ridiculous as my solo Kraken was asleep most of the battle but refused to die :)

Rushed Voice of Tiamat for site searching, it was mildly successful. Most of my forays on land failed miserably, partly due to my inexperience at playing R'leyh partly due to general lack of counters to crazy sacreds. Vanheim's Vans were completely immortal against my guys.

I have to commend Grimwulf for being a great leader, and Lizzurd for being a great lieutenant, and both for excellent tactical play as well. Vanarus' earlygame use of summons and hirdmen was an eyeopener as was Lizzurds use of his paratroopers. They coached us noobs very well (in Grimwulf's typical verbose fashion), and our strategic moves were masterful during the game. If I was the team leader, I would have panicked and thrown everything into the defense of Ulm and Arco's capitals, but our glorious leader understood that taking losses and even enduring cap sieges is completely fine if gains are made elsewhere (and Arcos job was research and Ulm's was forging, which wasn't greatly hampered by their losses).

I never took throne-rushing very seriously and was surprised by our imminent victory - I was barely counting the Thrones. All in all, a very nice game and a very nice team. I'm sorry the game isn't likely to last longer, it would be fun to see what would happen if we actually had to fight it out.

Very nice maps and write-ups! It seems that it was a far more exciting game than Decline 4, that became pretty much a steamroll bar some exceptions.

Well, as Decline 2 will probably not last that long ( we will probably all die of micro poisoning) I again pray to those strong in deeds and faith to join Decline 6, so we can try a multiple-teams disciple game. It will require diplo, but it would be interesting. And again, paging raw to make a recruitment thread on the Strategy/Playground sections, my bet is that it will work better for those retards poor souls that bought Dom4 in the Steam Sale.

- Random fun fact: we managed to run a 12-turn test game (5 of us against 5 AI nations) before Decline 5 even started. I was lucky to play with such disciplined players.
- Another random fact: we've lost one of our Disciples - a rainbow Svartalf of Ulm - right on the turn of his awakening, coz I was retarded enough to insist on his help in expansion.
- Yet another fun fact: I did one of my turns completely drunk and forgot to set formation of my army that invaded Mictlan. Clusterfucked Blob of Death still won, though.

Something tells me that your team didn't exchange gems as well. Either that, or Asphodel had a sudden need for 40+ air gems, judging by his screenshot.

Once again, it's great when teammates don't forget to exchange gems between each other every turn.

Air gems were mostly from a couple recent events, rest were going into quill forging because of shit research. We traded....a little. People have to ask for needs though. I gave out gold freely enough. :)

Edit: I think another issue with our Disciples games so far, is that we have wildly different skill levels and many players are quite new. Even one lopsided match up in neighbors can quickly end a Disciples game, even with advice/gold/gems/items.

Also many dexers seem to not like to talk. Sometimes felt like thesheeep and I were playing a two man Disciples game. :lol:

Or if those two UW thrones were on land at that same distance, this game would be dragging on for quite some time.

I did have a suicide squad thrown together to go after the Kraken, but not enough plants in time. :? Gear is suboptimal except for the lucky find due to research, and I don't even know if Eye Shield works on the Kraken(I tested many many times and didn't see any effect, but couldn't find a reason why exactly).


The Captain: maybe one of my favorite heroes in all of Dominions. With W9N9 and able to cast Quick Roots on himself he can be pretty nuts. Against anything else he'd probably have three shields and boots of the behemoth(it works wonders.....most of the time).

The Lieutenant: Just an ok chassis with crappy gear. Distraction or a lucky Bane Blade hit. Had about 30 of these guys anyways.

The Support: Cast Protection, Sermon of Courage(Kraken Fear) and Regrowth on the plant guys(making Regen 20%). Then Spirit Curse hopefully getting him, followed by skelly spam.

Well, we learned from our mistakes, and would never send the Kraken to fight against Asphodel solo.

As for eyeloss - even if it works, what's the end goal? He's got Recuperation.

Well partly that I couldn't get Vine Shields, haha. But yeah...in battle, so he can't hit me as well first few rounds if he gets the eyeloss before falling asleep, and to push that affliction out of the way and hopefully stack up some others w/ Spirit Curse so that I could down him. All my tests with him fully kitted out, basically the only way to get through the massive regen once he's asleep was to start racking up afflictions and hope for the good ones and then even if I lose he's weakened a bit for a while(as recuperation still takes some months).

Kraken's only weakness in early game is bleeding. So you jes have to equip Duskdaggers on your guys, and hope they hit through his 30+ def. Or jes put him to sleep before attacking with thugs.

Yeah, some mistakes were made, but mostly I feel that our capitalist strategy of relying on T/L did not work out. At all. Seriously, the events we got...

I think if there is one thing this game has proven, it is that Luck is a terrible scale. (And that I suck at C'Tis as much as with everything else.)

raw, you should tell me sometime which one of your buttcheeks made decisions about your nations. As for Team capitalists general perfomance, you were all way too passive, except for Asphodel. We were aiming for defensive play, taking just E4 bless and going all-scales. While you took W9N9, and were supposed to rush-attack. Time was working against you.

I was bummed out that you banned Pan before we could pick it. It should have really been our first pick. Picking was a cooperative effort. The left cheek went first.

RAW C'TIS was out-played by Nazca. All Lizzurd's maneuvres were all his own ideas, I have nothing to do with it.

In my defence, my starting position was terrible. Made worse by my inability to build the proper units but still. Terrible. :M

Lastly, KoolNoodles was our real team leader, and he did a brilliant job considering the circumstances (2 players flat out failing even at the most basic tasks). He is a very sexy person.

The drakes that appeared one turn before managed to kill most of my army. That was fun to watch :D

I had hoped the drakes would not turn around if an enemy happens to be to the left of them and grill my own army.

Koolnoodles that hero Mandragora looks strong indeed. It's a pity we didn't get to see him fight my Kraken, I was hoping for a last-turn attack on that UW throne. I had heavy PD there but not too many troops, it would have been a nice battle :)

This seems to be the most active thread here and I don't think starting a new is a that important. My question is, why so many team games? It's not a bad thing mind you, just personally prefer to have all on all brawls.
