I see. Sorry. I didn't know you were so adept at detecting emotions from plain text.

Not when there's the chance that the shit might be better next time round. People went to see Episode 1 because Episodes 4 thru 6 were good. 1 took it into the shit but there was still the hope that 2 and 3 might not be shit. They certainly weren't as shit and there are improvements but people are bemoaning it because it could've been such good shit, in fact the best shit they've had in a long while. It's just that Lucas can't direct or write for shit anymore. Hopefully 7 - 9 will be made long after Lucas has had his last shit and might actually be some good shit. Which is what we want, good shit.

Personally, I'd rather wait and see what other people have to say about the shit rather than throwing said shit in my mouth hoping it could be good and then realizing I just put shit in my mouth.

Of cource, there are the people who love the taste of shit  , but you can usually get a good understand of who those people are.

You're making the assumption that I actually stood in line and paid to see it. The last Star Wars movie I paid to see was TPM.

Yeah, he just gets someone to leave the fire escape door open and he sneaks in that way. A good money saving scheme.

Like I said, he wasted 3 hours to watch shit. You know, bottom line is if someone hated the first two prequels they shouldn't bother watching the third one. I enjoyed the prequels as much as the originals (as I think the originals are overrated but still good), and so i look forward to wathcing E3 for what it is. I surely don't whine about a movie and then go watch its sequel. That's silly.

well, i find the TFM pretty shitty but turns out episode 2 is pretty ok and episode 3 pretty good. so shitty stuff can still turn out alright in the end.

Hey, if someone else is willing to pay, I can sit through just about anything. I sat through Battlefield Earth like that.

But, if you did that, your head would be empty... HARR HARR HARR!

And hey, it's Star Wars, made out to be one of the most influencial movie series ever made, if you took the trouble to watch the first (last) three, why wouldn't you watch the last (first) three? If everyone had refrained from watching EP3 because 1 and 2 sucked, this thread wouldn't exist

I am truly puzzled. It is incomprehensible to me that someone might like the lame ass ep.2 more than ep.1. I really think ep.2 is one of the worst movies i've seen (at least 80% of it - until they get on Geonosis). Ep. 3 kicks ass, it's so much deeper than ep.4 and 5...

Episode is 4 my favorite, with 5 a close.

1 was poopy, 2 was half-good. The thing with 2 is it would go from awesomeness Obi-Wan kicking ass, to Anakin crying and then back, so thats why its half-bad.

3 is pretty good, but I dont think it tops 4 or 5, but I think it does top 6 for sure.

I think 5 was the best, especially the banter between Lando and Han Solo. 4 was somewhat annoying, due to Luke Skywalker coming off as a total nublet, and 6 had too much robot humor.

ROTJ has sucky Ewoks. Man, they were crap.
If only Lucas had had the courage to stick with Wookies.

My favourites, after all these years, are still the 1977 one that started it all, and TESB. The new ones (well, I and II) feel so damn empty, and only enjoyable on the 'eye candy' front. I'm hoping Ep III will change that for me to some extent.

Well, I saw the movie last night (no, I didn't pay for it, I set it downloading at work on friday night and got it finished over the weekend). My opinion of the movie is that it was pretty, but not very good.

The CGI was well done in most parts, although the creature effects were pretty damn crappy.

The story wasn't horrible, but the dialog and several of the characters motivations seemed a bit tacked on. A lot of things happened without any real reason, and I get the feeling that this had enough content cut out that it could have been made into a trilogy of movies on its own.

The acting was horrible in almost every way. There was not one convincing performance in the entire movie.

As a last bit, and I know it really isn't worth criticising, since it is aimed at kids, but the attempts to inject fun into the movie were horribly annoying.

I think that's because Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back were aimed more at teenagers/young adults. The rest have been aimed towards kids who buy toys.

Return of the Sith may have a PG-13 rating, but the writing and a lot of the cartoonesque action scenes are definitely aimed towards the toy buying tykes.

Makes sense for them to aim it at the kids if they plan to make a fortune from the toys and other merchandising.

Hilarious. I like him; but the idiot there is him. Afterall, Maddox thinks the entire SW saga sucks yet he has watched all five of them. hahahaha.
