Luffy? He's been at it since last year.
Europe players have different character preference than US I think.

I'm amazed at how often he's dashing up and going for throws against Zangief. I would never willingly get that close to that Gief.

edit: heh, wow, go figure

I've never seen the half-pipe stage before.

I can't pay attention to the match because the dancing spray paint negro in the backround is distracting me.

This year's evo has definitely been the year of the upsets. With some of the favourites to win it not even making top 8. What's great as well is seeing these great character specialists in Luffy's Rose, Bonchan's Sagat and Snake Eye's Zangief reach such high rankings. Also hilarious as well is that Daigo was saying he was dumping Ryu for E. Ryu as he was so much better, only to get 2-0'd by Choi who is a Ryu specialist.

I would also highly recommend people check out the top 8 for Injustice and Blazblue. I'm not a particular fan of either games, but even I could see those top 8s were incredibly exciting.

Top 8 in SF4 was all great except the final match. I guess it was nice for Louffy to put an exclamation point on his victory. Still, zone fights are the worst.

I can't believe the way Snake Eye's played Gief. It was unreal to see that level of footsies from a gief.

Derailing a little bit but question, are there any good, free online fighting games? I'm from thirdworldia and poor with no steam or w/E.

The Grand Finals were interesting to me because I've mained Rose since SSF4 and my brother has always played Sagat. It was fun to see our characters played at the highest level, and its been interesting to see different message boards and websites analyze that match-up to such an extent.

Only annoying thing now is being called a bandwagoner by pubbies for playing a character I've stuck with for years. I would've preferred she stay under the radar, I think.

Same thing happened to me when I used She-Hulk and Taskmaster in MVC3, though.
