Giants is one of the games which make me remember Interplay so fondly as a publisher in the lat 90s/early 2000s.

Similar with Sacrifice, Messiah, FreeSpace, not to mention all the beloved RPGs.

Giants is one of the games which make me remember Interplay so fondly as a publisher in the lat 90s/early 2000s.

Similar with Sacrifice, Messiah, FreeSpace, not to mention all the beloved RPGs.
Some of the games they published around 2000 remain truly unique to this day. Giants, Evolva, Sacrifice. They all had unique gameplay, great visuals, and there was something special about the look and "feel" of their alien worlds.

I cant imagine any large publisher investing in AAA games of that sort nowadays...

Well those games were not exactly blockbusters so...

Then again I think nowadays with this whole digital distribution thing they would have fared a lot better than back then.
