So, I've been out of the loop with games for the past 4-5 years really, and I was hoping to get recommendations of great (PC) games in the following genres:

1) Adventure (traditional and modern adventures)
2) RPG
3) Platformers (2D and 3D)

I want to get in touch with what is current in all these genres.

For platforming, I recently enjoyed Ori and the Blind Forest. I'm sure it will go on sale for Christmas. For adventure games, get Primordia. For RPGs, there's quite a lot of good stuff that's been released but do get Age of Decadence to support the incline.

For RPGs:
Fallout 3
Fallout 4
Skyrim
About recent RPGs:
Skyrim is quite good with Requiem, Fallout 3 is beyond redemption, didn't even try Fallout 4.
Even if Bethesda is creatively dead like Bioware, do try Skyrim with Requiem.

Fallout New Vegas, though, is absolutely great, even in its vanilla state.
Serpent in the Stagland is definitely interesting, Divinity Original Sin is really good, Underrail is incredible, didn't try AoD, but people on the codex seem to praise it.
