MGS V is a competent stealth game if you disable the UI and limit your equipment to non-op stuff (like this). And Ground Zeroes, while being a demo, it's very well designed. Yeah, nowadays you're not gonna get good stealth experiences without limiting yourself heavily

As for Blacklist, there's something missing. There are always convenient pathaways that let you skip all potential encounters, akin to DX:HR. Very lazy way to design a "ghost" playthrough. In fact, the pure stealth route is the easiest in the whole game (except for the last mission and the grim side-ops). The game feels more satisfying to play in a more lethal way

MGSV with some kind of hardcore mod or infinite heaven mod set up so all your standard pleb features are disabled (tagging etc) and increased enemy view distance would probably be good.
