Game's pretty average. Scores high on the destruction-porn, though.

Physics are definitely great. There just needs to be more content.

I can't decide who annoys me more nowadays, SJWs or edgy anti-SJWs. Whatever happened to having real opinions on stuff..

Devs cannot into despawning entities. Corpses stick around and rubble doesn't go away, but that makes it unplayably slow after about five minutes, even on the lowest settings. Why the fuck isn't there an option for these issues?

Bro, you're thinking strictly on "gaming terms". We are fighting a cultural war by sending a clear signal to the market: sticking to SJW faggots is profitable. How long until some AAA suit look at Hatred's sucess and thinks "if an indie company with a simple game managed to make THAT MUCH MONEY, imagine how much money WE could make by doing a PROPER SJW-butthurt tool?". I want to see fucking CoD making fun of SJW. It's about time these rats are driven back to whatever hole they crawled out of.
So all this shit about "we just want good games", "who fucking care if there are women in the game" etc. is just a load of shit. Apparently that's not the point at all, we want shit games that will piss off SJW's. That's great, can't wait to see where this logic is gonna bring us. God fucking dammit, the amount of retardation and faggoty in those three lines of text just blew my mind.

OKAY, some random impressions on the game (played it until the mission that starts with the politician's rally, trailer mission)

- TB bitched about the lack of a cover system, but I find that this game's movement based shooting is way better
- Gunplay is fine, but not great. Guns have no recoil and different automatic weapons play pretty much the same. Heck, fast firing a pistol yields similar results.
- Executions are great, but they lack variety. Also, The Punisher had enviroment-related executions and those are sadly missing.
- Performance issues are real, I can vouch for that. Maybe they'll patch it, maybe they won't
- Awesome usage of physics and fully destructible environments. Explosions are really cool.
- Don't see anyone mentioning, but I find the maps to be sufficiently large and well designed. No narrow corridor bullshit, except when corridors are "the theme". When you are rampaging across town, it really FEELS like it
- Choice of aesthetics is really fitting, and looks nice. But then again, that's mostly a matter of taste
- Game provides decent challenge on hard, but finishing every mission without respawning is pretty doable, with the right amount of caution.
- One liners, one liners everywhere.
- Ammo doesn't grow on trees, and a careless player WILL run out of ammo.
- Exploration is rewarded with armors and better guns
- The game being short is actually a good thing, because it's pretty fucking repetitive. So you'll probably finish it by the time the formula starts boring you

So far, I'd say the game is WELL WORTH the price. It's pretty fun, the over-the-top stuff is rather amusing and all that. I'm sure it has no replay value, but then again, most games don't. Physics and art style are what makes the game stand out from other similar games, but that's about it.

FUN GAME, worth its price, probably even a better deal on steam sales, after the performance issues are addressed.

I want to see good games. Not more bad games with a different political slant.

Who cares about your shit games. We're having a stand for the future of humanity here. I'd happily give up gaming for the rest of my life if it meant every sjw getting incurable terminal brain cancer.

Like jihadists, trying to eradicate them all is fruitless. For every one you kill ten more will rise up to take their place.

I managed to play a couple of hours, and can confirm most of the other impressions: It's a pretty average isometric shooter/Postal 1 clone. Control and camera can be a bit wonky - doors are a pain in the ass, npcs can be difficult to target when they get close - but the 50-70% destructible environments are a cool feature, especially since the NPCs do appear to react to them by blowing away cover with gunfire (though this could just as likely be a result of their poor PC detection). The black and white colour scheme is ugly as hell and detracts from the All-American-Spree-Shooting atmosphere, though it's probably covering up untextured objects, LoD scaling and such. The general gameplay issue I have with it is that you're encouraged to be fairly conservative with ammo and cautious in your approach to armed enemies, which would lend itself to 1st/3rd-person simulation-esque realism, yet the game also expect you to revel in the mass murder and fast-paced destruction - unfortunately, it can't do these two things at once. The pace is too slow and the handling too wonky for a good twin-stick shooter and the mechanics are too casual for a "hardcore" murder sim.

I don't regret pre-ordering it, but I'd say it's worth about 10 dollars in its current state. If you're on the fence, wait for at least a patch and a sale.

Some snapz from my GAYMIN laptop. Most of the settings are on ultra/high and it generally runs reasonably well, albeit at the cost of turning my laptop's heat exhaust into a fucking fireball. A smooth frame rate would be ideal for this kind of game though.

EDIT: Okay, finished. Once you hit around level 4, you start to run into much larger and more agressive SWAT teams followed by National Guard and Hummers. This is where the game really starts to break down due to the fact that these enemies frequently open fire at you from outside the range of the camera, which makes for some frustrating firefights, until you take account of the fact that the game has pretty heavy autoaim. By switching to the "aimed" camera and following the dots on the minimap, you can mow down teams of soldiers from beyond their activation range. It's still a rather silly solution that makes for pretty uninteresting combat compared to the medium-short range battles inside buildings and around corners.

It's not getting attention because it's edgy. It's getting attention because people are angry that it's edgy.

Here's a pretty good review from the steam area and a video: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Dragnix/recommended/341940/

The idea of a pacifist run for Hatred just makes me laugh. It looks like its an okay game that is getting so much attention due to being edgy.

This review nails it. Also agree with Ed that it's, at best, a $10 download title. Won't be buying it until it hits at least $5.

Yawn, looks like your guy has an extensive katana collection next to his toy ponies, you're an absolute damage sponge, lots of QTEs (correction; press x to cutscene kills) and dark and angsty black and white mixed with overbearing bursts of colour. Opposite side of the same pandering coin that buy games like Dragon Age to stick it to the man/patriarchy/cool guys at school/SJWs.

SWAT/Soldiers will murderize you in seconds because they're extremely aggressive and will surround you. Ironically they're easiest in the final level because you can just line them up and CC them (every shot staggers) from miles away.

Also, being tapped by a police car instantly kills you, and Jeeps tear your cover to shreds, frequently driving straight through the wall of the building. I wouldn't say the protagonist being a "bullet sponge" is a particular problem. If he weren't, the game would be obscenely difficult due to situations where several dozen enemies will charge you from different directions at once.

Somberlain Sorry QTE wrong word, i mean press X for execution, I don't really like that design, usually accompanied by invincible frames. The review i was watching the guy was taking miniscule damage each hit, quite possible on easy for youtube purposes.

It looks like a middling shooter that you'd expect around $10 for.
