Heroes look better, plays better, more fun, more exciting than DOTA 2 and LoL.

They cut all the unneccesary filler bullshit gameplay (items, lasthitting, gold/farming etc.), and made the game more fun, while still keeping it pretty deep and complex.

The game has much more focus on Teamplay, team-oriented strategic thinking and decision making.

It's less about OMG LOOK AT ME, BRO. I'm 13 years old, and I PWNURFACEL0LLLZ.

It requires you to work together as a team or fail. You know, just like real life. Adult people doing. Not some arrogant egocentrical kid, who wants to dominate the scoreboards, because some faggot babysit him for 50 minutes.

I think the gold system is impossible to defend.
There's like 3-4 2000G heroes and avg 25 gold per game. This means you gotta lvl up your retarded profile and keep leveling all the heroes to get gold. I'm sure it's totally fine once you get to some higher level, same as with LoL where you don't give a shit after having played 300 games cuz you got everything you really wanted. It's still an insane scheme and the prerequisite for it to work is that you really like the game and don't mind grinding it a lot more than LoL.
With dailies it really isn't that hard to get new characters in a timely fashion. You can get about 800 gold a day out of 4 matches if you're winning.

Besides, if you actually enjoy playing the game, 200+ games wouldn't be at all out of the question. Indeed, I would argue that you're probably a casualfag if you've played less than 200 games and we're talking about DOTA or LoL.

I play the game somewhat casually with my friends, have enough heroes for league, and haven't spent a red cent on it.

EDIT: That all said, DOTA is and always will be more :obviously:, but it's also a game where you have to play 500 hours(on the lower end) to achieve anything like competency.

Yeah, I've been looking at skills and talents and it looks like the skill floor and ceiling aren't very far apart. Hardly anyone streams it, and one of the guys who was streaming it tonight said that the pro scene is a bunch of shitters that can't make it in LoL or DotA and they act like know-it-alls.
some months ago a "pro" game saw the losing side win when one of its members disconnected and got substituted by a bot.
the bot won the game.
"pro" players are less useful than bots.

do you need to know more?

Got it, was fun. Honestly it needs either Skype/Vent/Steam Chat to be most efficient hero. Overall Im still more of an Abathur fan, he has wider variety skills.

I eventually got it but I don't really see it needing communication. Gall just nukes the shit out of whatever is nearest to him.

i might pause for some days until things have cooled down.
those Abathur trolls in a Chogall meta are actually hurting my backdoor.
like the game starts and you know you just wasted 20+ mins of your life you migth have easily sunk into smtg useful, like other games or porn or discussing smtg irrelevant on the internet.

Cho'Gall is shut down pretty hard by Brightwing and Leoric. In the end he's a viral marketing gimmick. Blizzard essentially giving him away for free and recruiting the playerbase to get people to play with them by bribing them with gold (you get 2200 by playing four games with people who don't already have him). His vanity skin is also 50% off on release probably to generate more sales since no one will be shelling out cash to buy him.

And, yeah, Abathur + Cho'Gall = no map presence. Sure you can push one lane strongly but the other team can easily merc and push the remaining lines and pick off your teammates.

Cho'gall is easily countered by a lot of heroes and talents. I've only seen the character win one HL game out of like 15. What he is really good at is destroying towers really damn quickly in the early game. Talking sub-2mins tower destruction. Not many Cho'galls are doing that yet, though. Also, I've lost six straight as Kharazim when I ordinarily have a strong 60%+ win rate with him. Not sure if the new scaling hurt really bad or what, but his heals are nowhere near as good as they used to be. The punch-heals are barely even noticeable and his W doesn't have the same burst. A lot of assassins are hitting much harder in the early game, too, so it's easy to have the damage outrunning your heals.

lets be honest, chogall most of the times doesnt equal 2 other good heroes.
i watched some stream yesterday and the guys had like 0% win in hero league.

i mean i LOVE the idea of a teamplay hero, thats fantastic, but he seems just not good enough

if cho dies, thats a disaster for the team.

Ofc he isn't for noobs.

He sucks when noobs play him, but when pro's do. Usually wrecks your face.

So anyone here has Cho'gall and would be kind enough to infect me with it?
