Another possible suggestion: Chaos Overlords. 1996 indie game. Turn-based, tons of 'gangs' for hire (each with specific stats and stuff), tons of equipment and other shit (control of the territory, racketeering, extorting money, snitching on your competitors, bribing dem cops, etc). Prepare for some tough bitchslapping, though.
Oh, and it also features some cool music. Enjoy.

heh, old games. they fall into two categories:
1) i can't stand their interfaces anymore
2) i played them already, maybe even when their interfaces weren't so tragic

yes, i know, i'm a terrible customer, sorry =_=

Searching for my kidnapped sister
Silent Storm and Silent storm sentinels sound just like what the doctor orders.

In particular, S2: You got unlimited ammo for equipment depend on which campaign you play (Axis/Allied) and resupply after campaign missions. You got a pool of 20+ troopers for each campaign, for free. Whom you dont use in missions will slowly level up while waiting for your pleasure. You can loot other side's equipment from battlefield, so if you are a Brit like Nazi guns you are going to scrounge.

S2 is piss easy once you know how, even with Impossible. And total death is not easy to achieve.

S3 is for after you finish with S2. It refine S2 feature, kinda like F2 refine F1, and give better ones.

Not Hammer and Sickle because it can be easy to lose and die in HS.

after having installed e.y.e. but not being able to play it (depression works in misterious ways), after having experienced the crappy races available in mordheim, having to wait two more weeks for the full launch of underrail, looks like i found what i looked for in templar battleforce.
but keep the suggestions coming, i won't complain ;)
