    Dear Codex,

    I don't know if this is more widespread, but imgur images are not showing up for me. Anything hosted on imgur is displaying as a dead/broken image link for me.

    I'm on the latest version of Firefox, and the imgur images were working until recently.

    Worse than that, I tried copying some of sgc_meltdown's links from BTE3 and they took me to a 404 Forbidden page error for Imgur, but if I right click and "copy link location", I can see the image.

    Has Imgur banned hotlinking/image linking for Codex or is it a problem with my browser? This is happening on both my home and work laptops, running the same versions of Firefox and particularly affects me because I spend most of my time here in the Playground.

    I have Firefox (11.0) and imgur stuff shows up fine most of the time (there was a day earlier in the week were I got a lot of broken links, but they are working now).

    Just checked my Isometric thread and SHIIIIT I can't see my images either.

    Links still work, though. It looks like imgur has finally blocked the codex. Motherfuckers.

    Firefox 11 and can't see the pictures in the link. However if I right click and copy the image wink link and paste it into the address bar it displays correctly, then caches for when I look at the thread again.

    Happened to me too. Just disable referrer information and it will work again.

    Only problem with that is that certain sites will occasionally freak out on you from time to time.

    It's all part of an elaborate plan to force people into paying for gallery space on the Codex. Working with my friends at a number of image hosting sites, we're gradually getting them all to block us. Soon my plan will be complete and the monies will come rolling in.

    People are miffed because a site doesn't want to host obscene pictures even though it's clearly mentioned this stuff isn't tolerated in the first place?

    This is simply what you get when you upload gore, pornography or lolicon and the site finally gets wind that it continuously happens despite their forbidding it. You spoil it for the majority of people who have legitimate uses for it.

    I would timidly hope it would act as an incentive for some not to engage into the consumption of such depraved material, but I know where I'm at, and I'm not holding my breath.

    I can still see imgur images normally in RPGCodex, although wished I couldn't so I could have a pretext to stop all my LPs. Therefore I believe they were a bit more smarter than Imageshack and only blocked people who use it for making pr0n stashes.

    Of course I don't use the service to upload creepy Hentai and bizarre WAIFU Biowhore porn.

    also less people view those things than you think. I doubt the bandwidth of the entire thread even compares to say, reddit taking up several gigs in half a day on a lulzy picture.

    Management interface is shit on tinypic and tinypic also resizes images over a certain resolution. You can't keep large images unchanged.
