Should work if you load it last. Requiem probably boosts Alduin a lot more than this mod but the changes should keep it from being a cakewalk. Reviews are mixed but Trainwiz made quite a few mods so it's probably not total shit.

Speaking of him, just found out he was banned from the Nexus. I wonder why?

They also banned Trainwiz, I forgot why but he had great mods up there. Nexus mods are jokes. Simple as that.

There was a hideous mod that made plastic looking women with gigantic breasts and he said, "I don't think aliens fit the lore of Skyrim"
ding dong bannu

Here's the link if anyone is wondering. It's a damn shame since he's a great modder.

The Nexus administration would make even the Gestapo burst with envy. Hell, I saw that they banned people who were genuinely disgusted by a mod that added female genitals on to the game's horses. It's shocking that it's even considered a non-adult mod by the site's standards.

Honestly, they do need to relax their rules a bit, because at the moment if you don't like a modder's work you get banned for just telling your honest opinion.

In before: Tessera is the head moderator of the Nexus.

The thing with nexus is if you wouldn't say it at gun point you can't say it at nexus.
Someone once described Nexus as similar to a porn shop, you go in, get the goods and get out.

Don't make eye contact.
Sounds like a Tessera production, alright.

That trainwiz banning has probably less to do with a 'snide' comment than it has to do with the mod author probably knowing said moderator and not having any kind of balls whatsoever. It wouldn't be the first time.

I'm going to fire up Skyrimjob now that I've actually removed it from an inventory, and play it for the first time using Requiem. I'm fairly excited. Going to load up on "PC-friendly" interface mods and some dignified world map mod. I've got my eye on some armour and weapon mods (adding more weapons/armour), too, having discovered Requiem will work with such mods due to the way weapon/armour stats are scaled. Tell me, does Requiem change environmental effects/sound effects? If it doesn't I will also install an environmental realism mod I've got my eye on, and a sound mod, too. I don't think I will be able to stomach vanilla sounds (as my brute plods along in heavy armour) given the changes that will have been made to the rest of the game.

I strongly assume that arcadey mod does not work with Requiem's Alduin, considering that Alduin functions completely differently in Requiem than in vanilla. Beating him in Requiem actually felt like an actual bossfight.

What is the point of playing even then?
Good question actually.
But I still try to squeeze some fun out of it even though the dull quests and guilds are in the way every single time. Hopefully Enderal will be out at one point (still half a year to wait I guess).

Just realized again how much I hate Requiem perk descriptions. Is there any mod that translates the "immersive" gibberish into something helpful?
Also the perk trees in general mostly are not that great. Too many passive effects, too much grinding with too few variation. And I don't like the idea of perks giving spells when you can learn these spells through normal means too. Seems like a passive bonus perk in disguise to me.

And then the fact that azirok doesn't update his patches makes me rage about the retarded decision to not implement Dragonborn compatibility in the mod itself. Fuck balancing out things, get up to date with the base package first, damnit! :argh:

Uninstalling it again. Just heard of this mod. Reads promising but so do most mods. Will have to try it out to see if gameplay variety is better than in Requiem.

Edit: Seems PerMa is just a perk mod (but it adds perks/abilities to NPCs). So I still have to search for something to unlevel the gameworld...
Damn, and there I hoped this was an overhaul. ^^

What's the point of playing anything?

well for me the meat of any ES game were quests and challenges that you face. If there are no objectives to strive for what is there left to do then? LARP dungeon explorer?

I expect there to be game acknowledgment. I liked the idea in Morrowind that you get your stronghold and are able to rise in ranks for instance. It felt rewarding and it made a difference.
Going into random dungeons for me is pointless if there is not a context to it.

I am also asking this as a legitimate question as i am thinking about reinstalling and trying that requiem mod. It is just that i cannot find what would i do in game then as guild and main quests are total shit.

So you make goals yourself?
So, you play TES for quests and challenge?
First off i play without exploits that would be unreasonable. So no stealing, no alchemy stacking, no enchanting stacking. I try to keep moral character in accordance to what faction i am, and there in fact is a challenge if you play by such rules.
Now as for TES in general.
I play them for a lot of things, but without context to exploring it just feels pointless and boring.
I liked reading books in Morrowind, BUT only after i became relatively high ranking member of House so i would get to know more about the world.
I liked how i got more and more powerful BUT i liked the fact that it is recognized and integrated into the game. As i got quests to kill other nobles and not some low level bandits.
