Title. If I say, already own VXAce, would it be worth it to eventually get MV? What features does it have over VX Ace?

In my opinion, MX is far better than VX Ace. It runs in a higher resolution, allows you to port to more platforms, includes a better character portrait creator and has the option to do side-view battles (something VX Ace lacks without outside scripting). Scripting is also in JavaScript now, instead of Ruby, which is easier overall to master. If you have the option to get it over using VX Ace, I would.

My plan was to wait a while anyway, at least until I have my NWN module decently progressed and by then I should have the money to purchase a liscense.

You can always try out the demo, which doesnt have any restrictions functionwise and works for 30 days. If you purchase the licence you can continue work on your demo project ofcourse.

Does anyone know why they shifted away from the FF6-style sprites of 2k to the weird ones that have prevailed ever since? Do people still make sprites in the old style?
