As the title states I just bought the Spidersoftware package on Gog which contains their Geneforce saga, Avernum and Avadon games. I never played any of the games and was wondering which one you prefer and would recommend for a newbie to the games.

Thanks!

Geneforge is probably considered the best of his games. Avernum is a solidly good fantasy TB game with good exploration.

Avernum would be one of my favourite RPGs if it wasn't for the hp bloat and the quantity of trash mobs. The writing is excellent, and not overly verbose, and the setting is very intriguing.

Play them all. They are all easily 7/10-10/10.

Take a pause in between though and play something else.
