Just started Risen (again)

So, just started Risen again after and right off the bat, insane amount of 'film grain' - like effect is really really heavy on the eyes. I remember there was some kind of a modification available for removing it completely. Can anyone share? (Yes I've turned Depth of Field off)

Also, any way to make controls for turning around more responsive? By default, it feels incredibly delayed.

I recall a light film grain effect, but it didn't bother me much.
