I'm tired of everyone comparing everything to Skyrim.

Yeah, annoying.

That was the unfortunate fate of Dragon's Dogma, released on the Playstation 3 in May 2012, 6 months after the release of Skyrim and 8 months after the release of Dark Souls.

THe worst part is that the comparisons to Skyrim keep getting forced even if they don't fit.

You can do that... ...but the NPC will be recurring and its personality will move closer to Todd Howard's with each successive TES release.

I hope this is a big hit for Warhorse Studios. They're doing a great job promoting the game at trade shows and keeping the community satisfied with a steady stream of updates. My only concern is Deep Silver's involvement, as they've suffered a string of flops over the last two years. The PC version will likely kick ass and find an audience, but I fear the console SKUs could be D.O.A. if they don't get a big push from the publisher, which could leave the developer in a vulnerable position.

Will you lay off, Pete. The last thing he needs is another dev stealing Bethesda's thunder. He's had a tough year conceiving inspired promotional campaigns, that for reasons beyond his control, have failed to connect with audiences. At least he's got great P.R. skills, and the community loves and supports him.

Yeah. This is the Dark Soul of immersive medieval simulations. Not the Dark Soul of tracking simulators.

I will buy it ,if i am able to play as Slav killing German barbarians. Bringing culture and baths to the "Imperial" lands.

I think having the opportunity to play as a Magyar killing both would be better, but unfortunately that will never happen.
