Should we be looking at the controller or at the screen? I can't be doing those two things at the same time.

I think Nintendo should stop trying to reinvent the wheel, they got lucky once with the wii.

Just release a fucking console with multiplatform compatible hardware, and focus on making money on first party releases while still having every major multiplatform release on the console as well.

Yeah, I think this is what most fans want but this company is run by complete retards and they've been pulling this bullshit since the days of Virtual Boy. It's funny how they seem to have this fetish with innovating yet they've been milking the same franchises for decades. Pretty sure people would applaud just a standard new console with regular controllers and regular sequels to Zelda, Metroid, Mario and such without all these stupid fucking gimmicks.

They have a half billion saved up. they're going to keep making goofy shit until it works. One more Wii will outweigh ten more Wii Us.

The more their devices look like they could be on 1960s Star Trek, the more they suck.

Star Trek TOS has some rather charming retro styling.

this looks like something that would be made in the early 2000s to compete with the N-Gage

Yes guys, lecture Nintendo on how to sell, they don't have a clue:
As of March 31, 2015, the Wii has sold 101.52 million consoles worldwide.[29]
PS:
That's more that all the three versions of xbox combined.

The wii was a fluke that came after the n64, the cube, and before the u.

They need to get I sync with xbox and ps hardware release cycles with a console that has more or less the same hardware and architecture.

That would print cash, as a lot of non Nintendo gamers would love to play their first party games but don't want to be deprived of all those nice multiplatform releases.

This. Can't believe that bastards still insist on pushing this gimmicky shit, even tho every new gimmicky shit of theirs does worse than the previous one.

Manboons, manboons never change:
The Game Boy and Game Boy Color combined have sold 118.69 million units worldwide[4][29
72][73]
As of March 31, 2010, the DS further cemented its place as the top-selling handheld platform of all time by selling 27.11 million units worldwide during the fiscal year, totaling 128.9 million units life-to-date. Of that, some 17.82 million were DSis and 2.08 million were DSi XLs.
As of December 31, 2015, Nintendo reports 57.94 million Nintendo 3DS units have been sold worldwide.[1]
That's more or less three hundred millions of units sold, only the PlayStation line did better with more or less four hundred millions of units sold.
Please guys, continue to show your superior business acumen to these hacks.

Nobody has been buying Nintendo consoles for multiplatform ports since Gamecube.

They have their audience, they are cheaper, family friendly, and they exist almost separately from the rest of gaming. I even remember reading how Wii was almost like one of default househoild items in Murrica for a time.

I think Gamecube was a nice console with many decent games. They should go back to that style instead of this dumbfuckery.

Unfortunately Gamecube lack of success convinced them to go full casual, sound business decision, horrible for videogaming.

Are we talking about home consoles or portable consoles? Im talking about the follow up to the complete failure that was the Wii U when compared to both its predecessor and to its competitors.

You already have 2 underpowered consoles pretending to be powerful with a bunch of trashy AAA multiplatform games. Why do you need another one?

Because then i could play multiplatform games along with the best nintendo first party games, which gamers havent been able to do since the SNES, from then on onwards, the Nintendo 64, the gamecube, the wii, the wii u, have all been almost wasteland for third party support, and out of all those 4 consoles only the wii was a resounding success compared to the competition.

Eh, looks like I have been pretty ignorant in this matter. Nintendo 3DS being so successful is definitely news for me, as I've been convinced that it was considered to be something of a failure.
