I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this because I'm most likely looking for a single player game.

Itching for some vanilla wow but might not have the time to run instances and wouldn't want to leave during a run because it would be unfair to the other players in the group.

In the past when I've had the will to play vanilla wow again but not had the time for it I've played Dragon Age: Origins.
(Un)fortunately I've come to the end of the amount of times I'm going to replay it since already the last playthrough was pushing it (third replay).

tl:dr need something to replace vanilla wow, single player preferred.

I'll keep updating this post if more examples are needed.

Edit.

What do I mean by vanilla wow or certain qualities I am after:

1. Difficult leveling. Certain amount of grinding and mobs are not easy to kill in groups except when a character is made/developed specifically for such a purpose.

2. Each character class (if any) mostly serves a different purpose, they are not jack of all trades. Unbalance doesn't matter.

If by happenstance there is a mmo game which has dungeons that require less time than those of vanilla wow then as an addition to 1. grouping with people for questing ought to be almost necessary.

A Beautifully Desolate Campaign
Sort of depends on what you actually mean by "some vanilla wow". Off the top of my head I would say Kingdoms of Amalur had a wow'ish feeling to it at some point, but it's been over 3 years now so I may not remember it correctly. It's not a particularly great game, but it wasn't exactly bad either. Well, some parts weren't.

Thank you.

I'll check out Kingdoms of Amalur and if it is available outside of Steam. It is one of the games that was recommended to people in topics that came up when I did some Google searching on this.

Amalur is the most insipid single-player MMO you could possibly imagine. And there's absolutely zero challenge. Don't waste your time.
