So I started playing MOTB. Made my character (in it for the story/fuck the combat). HOLY SHIT. How do you camera control?

In balanced OE the camera controls you.

If you've fully patched the game you should have 3 different camera modes. You can switch between them and also change them a little around in the options. They're all shit but you should find an option that's at least playable after a little fiddling.

Worst in game camera of all time
I hope we get to see Ziets as creative lead on a game again though.

So if I'm a storyfag should I roll a rogue with Diplomacy/Intimidation/Taunt/and Spell-something?

Bluff also gives some very cool options, Taunt is rather useless as far as I see. I played a very similar build to Jaesun's, it's perfect for storyfaggotry plus Hymn of Requiem and the STR bonus from the four RDD levels let you breeze through the boring combat.
