Played this for a bit... pretty boring. Not sure what all the hoopla was about.

Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
One of the most fun and interesting multiplayer shooters. Oh, and its VERY arcade!

The game has two competing sides that play vastly differently, which is something rarely seen in multiplayer games, especially shooters. Playing as aliens is nothing like playing marines. Moreover, commanding makes the game actually a Real Time Strategy with other players as your units! However, each side is limited to one commander, so if you enjoy NS2 as RTS, then you might have a hard time playing it this way when there are other players who want to be a commander too.

Nonetheless, there's a lot to enjoy in this game when played as FPP too. Not only because every unit (as aliens) and every different weapon (as humans) changes the style of the gameplay, but also because the game is quite intense and atmospheric (this is probably the best looking game I have ever seen too!). I highly recommend checking this game to everyone who like multiplayer action games, especially the arcade ones.

The only drawbacks I can think of are infuriating loading times. I have never seen a game that would load maps even one third of a time as a NS2 maps load. This is quite annoying.

I lack the wit to put something hilarious here
Played this a lot late last year. Game is great if all players are skilled, you constantly have to be aware of what is happening all over the map and communication is key. Stick to the Thirsty Onos servers and the game is best when there are <=10 players on each team (24 player servers are ok but make the game more clusterfucky).

We tried starting a South African community for this but it was a disaster. Bunch of idiots whining because more skilled players 'saw it as an opportunity to rape newcomers'. Apparently you should gimp yourself to make it more fun for noobs.

In the end it died down and this is one of those amazing games that I never get to play because there are never local players.
