:troll:

Looks like it's coming. Move to popamole/general/prosper if applicable.
I get a very Gothic 4/DS3 vibe from these.

I was sure this was a DLC for Dragon Age 2 when I saw this picture.

The fuck is with all those square gaps and borders in the blood?

Everything is hideous, abort now, degauss all the drives in the studio.

This is shaping up to be Codex GOTY 2013, among other masterpieces like TW2, Dragon Age and Skyrim

You mean that isn't Cervantes from Soul Calibur?

And yes, it looks decidedly Dragon Age-y. I don't know how to describe NWN's style in words but it would probably be better for them to do that instead of Dragon Age 2.5

EDIT: also I just noticed that in the first pic the guy doing the shield bash is not touching the ground.

Decent art direction, but not really D&D at all. Looks more like a slightly more realistic Fable to me.

Whoah, that's horrible! Is this how fantasy art looks like today? It looks like they're trying to adapt to those horrendous 3D game visuals.

I still remember the paintings from my 2nd edition books...

Have you seen 4th edition artwork?
Now why did you have to go and remind me of that crap? Augh, my eyes. Now we just need a few pics from Pathfinder and I'll have to wash my eyes with bleach... again.

Also: ah yes, the famous Oakeshott Type NaN, commonly used in the kingdom of Retardo during the late 20th and early 21st century and well known for failing to grasp basic physics... Ok, officially derpressed now (not a typo).

:bro:

Yes the art has gone to a completely anime style of faggotry. In 0e and 1e D&D, the art was gritty and the characters were portrayed as being in deep shit. Ok not everything has to be gritty so 2e was a bit more polished but the art of 2e is really amazing. Characters are still usually shown to be in trouble or in a typical encounter situation. 3rd+ the characters all became ripped badasses in the midst of slaughtering a horde of enemies or decked out in ridiculous armor.

My favorite part is still that both of those 4th edition pics are Players Handbooks. Because now there's more than one.

That's who I thought it was too.

And why in all these games are the skeletons (I mean SKELETONS! of all things) suddenly olympic gymnasts? That thing is nearly clearing the height of someone's head.
