Those HL3 jokes are not even funny at this point. It was stated numerous times that TOR is the KOTOR 3, and those that do not like it (majority of buyers) can go screw themselves.

With all the new movies coming out - it's just dumb to expect something from the old republic.

Takes a real talent to come up with completely baseless video gaming news that are too wild and improbable even for this place.

Pretty sure the rights to the Old Republic belong to the LucasArts along with the rest of SW, and Disney owns Lucasarts with the intention of licensing the SW games to EA exclusively.

TLDR: no KOTOR 3 for you ever.

What about a Pillars of Eternity-budget PC exclusive party based real time with pause Star Wars RPG? kotor with a different camera angle.

I would love some good Star Wars game for a change (the last ones were KotOR II and Republic Commando), but it's not going to happen.

Or Obsidian could approach the only non-EA AAA publisher doing multiplatform Star Wars games. Warner Bros., pitch next LEGO Star Wars game.

I would have thought Feargus especially would have paid attention to that blurb about bonus money and ensured the score was well above 85, through as much bribery as possible.

You think Feargus' pockets are anywhere as deep as the board of Zenimax's?

Are there are any independent developers who get revenue-sharing agreements as standard these days? I can't think of any.

Gearbox. Textbook example of an independent studio that can demand and receive revenue-sharing from publishers due to their ownership of a popular IP (Borderlands).

(too bad they're a shitty dev lol)

Urquhart and Parker on independence and big RPGs: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...ow-rpgs-greatest-survivors-kept-the-lights-on

    - Armored Warfare proved publishers they still can make big RPGs
    - They almost got a big deal back in March that ultimately fell through
    - Nothing specific about Indiana ("We're making a big RPG - and it's not Fallout!")
    - They still don't rule out the possibility of them being bought "if right opportunity came up." ("We just didn't think the offers were commensurate to what we're worth and then what we would get to do")

Bethesda should buy them, and let them make a TES spin-off. After that they're going to rape the studio anyway, but at least I'll die happily.
