Actually, I thought the color tints looked decent enough. Better than in the E3 demo, where they seemed to clash with the armor colors.
Monster stats in the encyclopedia are unlocked dependent on your Lore skill.
Depending on how you interpret it, getting two consecutive party wipe-outs from monsters as simple as beetles makes a very good first impression.

That green is horrible.
We got to see an Aumaua, Godlike and Orlans for the first time.
The orlan was a female, but her model looked like a male to me, due to there being not really any shape to the armor.
