Some nice traits to be had, but why is the equipment still MKXII? Are they going to introduce "Equipment Upgrade Tokens" to upgrade them? :argh:

EDIT: I obviosly suck at quoting, all those little dots and squares are running wild...

Yea, they are planning on including something like the fusion system from Champions/NW for weapons in STO.

So the escort is a funky Defiant.
The sci-ship is a funky sci-ship.
That cruiser though ... having a non-saucer/non-lenticular main hull just seems ... very un-Star Trek.

Nah that's a saucer alright. What is a difference to standard Starfleet design is that the deflector isn't "underslung", but at the tip of the saucer.

Also, I'd prefer the option to turn on windows.

I don't really like any of them. In fact, I like them even less now. It feels like some hollywood actress has taken her makeup off and you wonder "who is that anyway?". They also look like some low polygon models, it wasn't as obvious when the dark skin covered it.
Word on Tribblestan is, that completing a mission (there seem to be only 5 or 6) isn't enough to levelup and access the next episode. So it will be just like old times: grind shit until you level up and qualify for the next mission. That's why there are encounters in sector space for those of you not being around years ago: blowing up ships over and over to slowly gain xp.
Keeping that in mind, it's probably best to plan with only one toon for the Delta Raisin for now.

Even though I could live with the BugDefiant if it were reaaaaly good, the intel rombird is still my favorite and "if I buy, than this one" at this point.

Nah that's a saucer alright.
It was more the abandonment of curves and smoother contours in favour of angularity that bothers me, even if that evolution of style is clearly inspired by real-world examples, it's fugly.

The Benthan and Hazari ships are Lockbox I think. As for Dauntless, probably the same, since it was an alien ship disguised as a Federation ship.

The original Dauntless class science vessel was discovered by the crew of the U.S.S. Voyager in the Delta Quadrant in 2374. Completely alien in origin, the ship and its Quantum Slipstream Drive were created as a trap for the crew. Recently, however, specifications for the ship were discovered in the Delta Quadrant, and the Starfleet Corps of Engineers has been able to recreate this impressive starship as a Tier 6 vessel.
doesn't sound like it.

Isn't the Derpless even added to the big Delta Raisin pack? And it still is frigging fugly.
The explanation why to bring it back is pretty stupid, but I guess Craptic is desperately resurrecting everything remotely connected to the Delta Quadrant to please the fanbois of the Voyager show. I didn't know they existed, but well... there are probably even people out there considering Cpt Archer the bestest captain everever.

aw shuddap, it was my fave (yes, i liked enterprise more than tng, which i liked more than voy, which i liked more than tos).
So it will be just like old times
:rage:

And he is not joking.

I have no idea who the fuck thought years later that XP grinding is awesome, its like the moment we turn away the Craptoddlers go back into doing stupid shit they tried before, its like if you put your hand times enough in the fire it will not burn for those fucktards.

I would not really have a issue ... if they didnt decided to make missions have minimum level requirements above 50 so you finish the first 2 Delta Quadrant missions that are lv 50 but the 3rd and 4th are Lv 51 and you have to go around XP grinding just for story progression, if everything was Lv50 then non issue but somehow they think this is a sandbox raid game instead of a linear casual themepark.

I would like to remind you guys of the current bonus xp event.
If you ever wanted to create another toon (especially Romulard): now is the time!
I decided to roll a KlangRomTac to relearn the mechanics (and another catfood farmer never hurts) and the xp bonus is MAJESTIC. The Romulan missions already gave more xp then the others, now with the added extra xp it's ridiculous. My toon is lvl 44 now and would be up to the Nimbus arc (which I will skip), so she will probably reach 50 without ever doing anything than the Romulan arcs (while even skipping the annoying parts). I completely missed the lvl 30 ship and equipment because I was rushing through some missions and oops, already lvl 40. And I haven't even bothered with doffing yet.

Quick question.

I'm kinda considering getting a suliban cell ship and I just want to confirm that if I do, I should get it on an alt account so I can invite the characters on my main account to it.

Guardian Cruiser got revealed and statted. Pretty ship, uses a similar set-up to D'deridex (Lt Eng/Int boff instead of EnTac). Depending on ICD, the trait it has is either roflpwnage or total shit. But at least it's pretty, classy, and comes with a good loadout for Aux2Batting.

Other three non-Int ships revealed so far statted as well. Mat'Ha has a trait unlock that looks beastly (upgrades B:Os to caused reduced radius Charged Particle Burst on target, and upgrades High Yield to cause lowered radius Photonic Shockwave on impact). Dauntless still looks determined to be the ugliest ship in Starfleet.

Isn't the flying Spacewhale-Bathtub still visable in the Omega Task Force's sector map model? Nothing will ever replace this as the worst ship in Starfleet ever. And everever.

The Aelahl Warbird is an interesting ship though. At first look it's only slightly better than a Fleet Derpidex with Lt engi+tac instead of only Ensign (if the universal is used that way), especially with the +2 turnrate bonus from the console set, but the intel hybrid BOFF is the science one, so you could still run A2B AND intel. Not worth it if you already have the FD, considering that craptic will charge top dorrar for it.

It will really come down on how good the Intel abilites are and nothing else.

The Faeth Intelbird isn't much of an upgrade over the FleetArrr, lack of fighters and comparable hitpoints only after reaching lvl60. But i comes with 2 dual Intelboff slots (you can only use one ability per boff right?), giving it 2 extra Intel gimmicks eventually?
Otherwise the FA is superior, especially with a T5.5 upgrade.

Come on Craptic, reveal the Intel stuff already, before people realise you are just ripping them off.

I'd say the Aelahl has one key weakness compared to the Derpidex: It doesn't come with a LtC Sci.

The way it seems to me at the moment is that the Int/Eng slots for now seem to be a thing because there's fuck-all you can do with too much Eng. At least one of the powers involved transporting a torpedo inside the enemy vessel, and one was used in conjunction with the real intel ship's Detect Vulnerability mechanic (right now this sounds like the real big carrot for Intel ships, since theoretically it might leave boff attack patterns in the dust).

If that trait would scale with the actual speed, Orion would probably instagib everything. His 'vette was close to reaching the speed of light in low orbit.

Rock and Roll:
Your ship performs an animated roll maneuver, preventing all incoming damage for a short duration.

DO THE BARREL ROLL!
