A Beautifully Desolate Campaign
So anyone planning to be part of the Flashback race (or at least longer than reaching lvl 35 to get access to free MTX) ?
Seeing how there is 750 full MTX sets for 95+ I'm shooting for at least one of those. I don't expect more than ~400 people to even hit 95+, so that's free MTX, maybe even two.

Outside of the Demigod's, the prize pool will be shared among all versions of the event.
The event lasts for 4 weeks.
The exp gain is much easier during Flashback.
Flashback always attracts a great deal of players.
Even I can get lvl95 under these conditions unless I'm bored.
I can guarantee you right now that there will be thousands of 95+ chars by the end of Flashback.

EDIT: Bestiary flashback had 4298 lvl95+ chars in the SC non-SSF alone. With both SSF versions and HC it's probably 5k+.
And Incursion was WAY more popular than Bestiary.

I should learn to read, didn't see that the MTX pool would be for both sc and hc combined. :( Beastiary HC+HCSSF were ~600 entries, and beastiary was a pretty dead league compared to Incursion. I expect less people to be playing this Flashback Event than people did during Beastiary though.

Well, still gonna shoot for 95 regardless, I really like the Warlord Armour and the Polar one is pretty neat too.

I am probably going to do a Arc Miner Saboteur for Flashback. I did Ignite into BV Trickster for Incursion, but I also wanted to try new Arc (and I have been wanting to try mines for a longer while now).

I reached maps after 2 days of playing (probably my fastest run to maps so far :D), don't know how many hours exactly (/played would not help as I spent some time idle in towns while doing other stuff).
Then I finally decided to do some incursions in this Flashback race. Did 3 incursions and died all 3 times lol. I thought 30% spell dodge would be enough for low level map incursions but I guess I need to up that -60% chaos res afterall :)

Yeah did it the fastest I ever did in 12h give or take I still haven't memorized later chapters so I can still shave some time of, trapper is fine for leveling and scales really well can understand why it's so popular but I may be getting a bit tired of them or maybe it's just overhaul exhaustion, I may prefer totems and minions over them but I will try to gear for T14 before final judgment.

Delve league announced.
Infinite dungeons that gets harder with each level.

Sounds imo like a good alternative to mapping.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I've played Path of Exile on and off for a few years, but I never really got to the mapping stage properly (mainly cause I always tried to make my own build and I fucked something off). I think the last time I gave it a go was about a year ago, and I made it to the beginning of mapping before my build petered out. Does anyone have a suggestion for a build that's easy to follow, guaranteed to be able to map, and good survivability for hardcore? I'd appreciate some details on leveling/itemizaiton as well. Thanks for the help!

Delve seems like it will be fun. I am especially hyped by this statement from the faq:
What is the maximum speed of the Crawler?
The base speed is proportional to your run speed. For example. if you use a Quicksilver Flask, that speed increases. The Crawler can also move faster than your run speed if you get in front of it via movement skills. All of this is really not important because the monsters are hard enough that the challenge is not being left behind. You're not escorting the Crawler, it's escorting you.

Unfortunately this also means I've already started agonizing over what build to play. Would like to do a slayer, but melee builds are hard to make :/

Man I like new acts, nice that you don't play through completely same shit again, changes in bosses and npcs are nice. Old locations with changes even give some nostalgia. Looking forward to check new map system too it looks fun, arguably they could have made whole new world out of it with some plot and bosses too.

Also nice to see that even after 5 years game disconnects at least once in a while and I already got multiple window crash that I had to restart my pc because of. Consistency is good! :shittydog:

The loot, in my opinion, still sucks though.

Also I don't like various restrictions on gems, like channeling skills not working with almost all hit gems. It's like - have all these gems, try all the combinations, but, ah, you can't use this together with this, and this, or this, because balance I guess.

Also while flasks are, of course, all wonderful, if I could use these extra 1-5 buttons for actual skills I would be a lot happier. I have like just 4 summons, 2 attacking spells, aura, support spell, and I'm all out of buttons and for fun I need at least 2-3 more spells.
