I think PC needs more genuine, "exclusive" PC games instead of console/mobile ports and multiplatform-targeted crap.

As long as there are alternatives, there is little to no reason for modern kids to spend their $$$ on a powerful PC and then upgrading it every 3-4 years when they can buy a console that will last for about 6-7 years and then rent games until they're fed up with them (can't say the same thing for tablets and mobile platforms, since they are growing rapidly). Sure, controls and graphics won't be as good as on PC, but it's not like these console kiddos care about graphics like PC gamers do.
If cost is an issue, PC wins by far. They probably need one for school anyway.

Depends on a place. This year it's literally cheaper to buy a Nintendo 3DS/PS Vita than a semi-bearable rig (top notch in ~2005) in Eastern Europe. And I'm not even talking about laptops or powerful PCs.

A big difference from before is that a lot more people have laptops these days. Powerful laptops that could properly run new games are quite expensive and aren't even all that convenient, since portability and lightness are wonderful assets for a laptop. And since a laptop is perfectly sufficient for almost any need a person might have except playing the newest games, getting a desktop computer in addition to a laptop simply isn't that desirable. At that point, insofar as people have AAA gaming needs, it's cheaper and more convenient to get a console.

Of course, PC gaming has other assets like the existence of indie and Kickstarter title, emulators and specific multiplayer genres. But, oddly enough, all of those you can run quite easily on a laptop of even modest power, at which point you're getting the best that PC gaming has to offer. The only thing that you can't do is play the newest AAA games at higher resolutions than the filthy console gaming peasants. But then, those games are mostly multiplatform releases developed for a console anyway, so one might question if it's really worth it to get a second computer just to play slightly fancier versions of dumbed-down console AAA schlock. PC gaming isn't dead, but there's simply no advantage to being on the cutting edge in terms of hardware anymore, and hasn't been for years.

http://tinyurl.com/pv8ahqy some reality check.
Poor countries = almost dead console/handheld markets, not to mention the devices and games end up usually at retarded prices here...
